Joy-Con lawsuits dismissed

A pair of prominent Switch Joy-Con drift lawsuits have reached their conclusions, and both are being dismissed.

The first one, Diaz vs. Nintendo, was filed in 2019. Carbajal vs. Nintendo then started up in 2020. Game File reports that “the parents who brought the suits on behalf of their children have called for the cases’ dismissal.” It’s unclear what led them to that decision currently. Both claimed that Nintendo knowingly sold defective controllers.

Biomutant review

System: Switch
Release date: May 14, 2024
Developer: Experiment 101
Publisher: THQ Nordic

THQ Nordic’s Biomutant had a rocky upbringing. Much like the pint sized, furry denizens of the game’s open world, the origins of this troubled title are mired in mystery, and drawn out over what feels like eons. Back when the game was originally announced, it showed a level of promise and originality that genuinely raised eyebrows. Much ado was made about how the game’s developer, Experiment 101, had a level of creative liberty that – in this day and age – was uncommon. If anything, Biomutant exuded that “Double A” feeling – a game that was allowed to be what its creators wanted to be, unconstrained by the expectations of executive decision makers. Fast forward to the game’s launch in 2021 for PS4, Xbox One and PC – and then again to 2024, and we’ve been graced with a port of Biomutant for the Switch. Should THQ Nordic have bothered?

Grounded update 1.4.2

Another update went live for Grounded this week, and version 1.4.2 is out now.

The patch brings along technical improvements, some changes, and more. One of the more notable things here is that loading a saved game takes less time now, and it’s 60+ seconds faster. Asset popping is also reduced along with short draw distanced in the Sandbox.

The full rundown of the update is as follows:

The city builder Fabledom is planned for physical release on Switch, Maximum Entertainment and Grenaa Games announced today.

The title still doesn’t have a release window at this time. However, fans can rest easy knowing that the game will have a physical version in time for the launch.
