Nintendo just kicked off a huge 2025 eShop Summer Sale, with many of its own Switch games on sale such as Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. Lots of third-party offerings are included as well.

One of the most talked-about Nintendo Switch titles of the first half of 2025, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has officially surpassed one million units sold worldwide. It’s a major milestone for a game that initially sparked concern due to multiple delays, with many fans unsure of what to expect. Now, it’s being hailed as a breakout hit.
Speaking during a special talk show hosted by the Denfaminicogamer Channel, Level-5 CEO and Fantasy Life i producer Akihiro Hino opened up about the game’s development journey and the pivotal changes that led to its current success. According to Hino, a major turning point came just one year ago, when the team made the difficult decision to rework large portions of the game.
Aka to receive physical release on Nintendo Switch

Three years after its initial digital appearance, Aka is now receiving a physical release on Nintendo Switch. Super Rare Games is handling distribution.
3,000 copies will be available worldwide. Each unit includes a reversible cover, full-color manual, exclusive sticker, and trading cards.

Chained Echoes reveals Ashes of Elrant DLC [update: release date]

December 9: Deck13 Spotlight and Umami Tiger today unveiled brand new DLC for Chained Echoes dubbed Ashes of Elrant. It will be available for Nintendo Switch in Q2 2025.
Ashes of Elrant features a new land and takes place before the original game’s final fight. As new character White Wolf, players will visit new areas, fight over 40 new monsters and bosses, and listen to 15 new tracks by Eddie Marianukroh.

Thanks to publisher Rainy Frog and developer Rainy Night Creations, we have the release date for Spy Drops. The Nintendo Switch launch is happening on July 31, 2025.
Spy Drops, a modern retro-styled stealth action game, was unveiled exactly a year ago. That original announcement didn’t include launch timing, but now we know it’s just a few weeks away.

Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition today was given a brand new “Backworms Compatible” update. This was previously teased late last year.
The update brings along Worms (SNES), Worms (SEGA Genesis) and Worms World Party (Game Boy Advance). Additionally, players can take advantage of the ‘Boggy B’ cheat code which unlocks all content – it’s toggleable in the options.
