Many people had predictions as to what Nintendo would show at The Game Awards last week. Yet not many saw an exclusive new Marvel game for Switch coming – especially one developed by Team Ninja.
Nintendo did in fact announce Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, and it’s coming only to Switch next year. After The Game Awards ended, IGN asked Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime how the three-way collaboration with Marvel and Team Ninja happened.

Stardew Valley dev announces new content update, next game put on hold

Stardew Valley developer ConcernedApe provided a big update on the future of Stardew Valley and more in a blog post today.
While ConcernedApe has been working on an entirely different project, it has now been put on hold. That’s because a 1.4 update is in the works that will add even more content to the game for free. After that, a team will be formed so that the game can continue to get even more content while ConcernedApe shifts back to the new game.

Arena of Valor surpasses one million downloads on Switch

The Switch version of Arena of Valor has surpassed one million downloads, Tencent has announced. The feat was accomplished this week.
Tencent says that the United States “is the largest contributing territory to the milestone, marking an undeniable success for the title in the west.”
Arena of Valor is the first console game Tencent has released. The free-to-play title launched on the eShop on September 25.

Switch surpasses six million units sold in Japan, outsells PS Vita

Switch sold another 281,222 units in Japan this week. With that, it has now surpassed six million units sold. The platform also reached another milestone.
Based on the latest data, Switch has outsold the PS Vita in Japan. Sony’s handheld is at 5,955,448 units sold. Switch’s total is now 6,112100.

Uncanny Valley releasing December 25 on Switch

Digerati, along with developer Cowardly Creations, today announced that the story-driven horror title Uncanny Valley is coming soon to Switch. A release is planned on December 25.
In the game, players can “explore its mysterious facility, uncover dark and terrifying secrets, and face narrative-altering consequences”. We have more details and a trailer below.
