The Count Lucanor is coming to Switch next month, Merge Games announced today. The game will be available on the eShop beginning October 28. Pricing is set at $14.99 / €14.99 / £11.99.

Fire Emblem Heroes received a bunch of new content today. Azura, Inigo, Olivia, and Shigure have been added for a Performing Arts festival. Players can experience paralogue maps, quests, and log-in bonuses. Check out some footage of the updates below.

Darkest Dungeon

Darkest Dungeon appears to be making its way to Switch, judging off of a new video posted on the official Twitter account. Red Hook Studios posted a clip that seems to show its game running on Nintendo’s console.

Here’s the brief clip in question:


Darkest Dungeon, a roguelike turn-based RPG, originally came out last year and has been very well received. We have some additional information and a trailer below.

Nintendo Network

Some maintenance on the Nintendo network is taking place next week during some of the first days of October. The maintenance will effect signing in to Nintendo Network IDs on the 3DS, Wii U, and computer web browser.

The schedule is as follows:

– 1 PM PT (October 2) – 7 PM PT (October 2)
– 4 PM ET (October 2) – 10 PM ET (October 2)
– 9 PM in the UK (October 2) – 3 AM in the UK (October 3)
– 10 PM in Europe (October 2) – 4 AM in Europe (October 3)

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is available on Switch today. It’s being sold both physically and digitally in Europe, but only as an eShop download in North America. Check out the game’s launch trailer below.

FIFA 18 does offer online play on Switch. Unfortunately though, the game has a huge omission. As the game is now, you have absolutely no way of playing with friends online. The only way you can run into a friend is through random chance.

EA patching FIFA 18 to support the feature may not be entirely off the table. But as the game stands now, that is a significant feature to be lacking.

Mebius and Shannon have announced a new horror visual novel for Switch known as “Okuriinu”. It’s planned for a release this year in Japan as an eShop download.

Okuriinu is based on a 34-page short story by writer and game designer Takiya Iijima, which also goes by the same name. Iijima has created new scenarios for the game.

Just in case you had any doubts that the Wii Shop Channel’s closure would be limited to Japan, Nintendo of Europe has posted a notice on its website that essentially confirms that the news applies to all regions.

You’ll no longer be able to add points after March 26. Nintendo will then close off the ability to purchase content and download channels after January 31, 2019. It all ends with the Wii Shop Channel’s full closure and disabling of redownload functions sometime in 2019.

About a month ago, we received confirmation that a demo for Oceanhorn is on the way. FDG Entertainment provided a status update on its release today.

Although there’s no specific date yet, the company said that its coming sometime in October. The demo has already been submitted for Nintendo’s approval.

Over on the official Twitter account, Nintendo posted an introduction for one of the rare Blades you’ll find in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. We have a look at Hotaru with some art and a brief clip.

Nintendo says that she fights while dancing with the ball shown in her clip. Kaori Ishihara voices the blade, while taiki is behind the design.
