Golf With Your Friends 2 was previously announced, but clarification was today provided about supported platforms, and Nintendo Switch is a part of the lineup. Expect it in early 2026.
The original Golf With Your Friends came to Nintendo Switch back in 2020. With the sequel, there’ll be “a new course mechanics, a revamped level editor, and nonstop fun.”

Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 live stream

Gamescom 2025 is getting things started with its traditional Opening Night Live broadcast, and we now have the official live stream. The event starts at 11 PM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM in the UK / 8 PM in Europe.
The Game Awards creator and host Geoff Keighley will be bringing along the latest announcements and news for the industry. While we’re not expecting Nintendo itself to really have a presence here, there should be at least something for Switch 2 / Switch through other publishers and developers.

July 17: Microsoft today confirmed the release date for Agatha Christie: Death on the Nil. On Nintendo Switch, the game is slated for September 25, 2025.
Also announced is a limited edition, which will be sold in the UK – fans in other regions can import. Copies include the game, a 48-page art book, a bookmark, and the original soundtrack (digital format).

Team Cherry has teased a “special announcement” for Hollow Knight: Silksong. News will be shared on August 21 at 7:30 AM PT / 10:30 AM ET / 3:30 PM in the UK / 4:30 PM in Europe.
It’s hard to imagine what this could be other than a release date. Fans have been waiting years for the game at this point, and most recently, Team Cherry committed to a 2025 launch. On top of that, we know that the title will be playable at Gamescom 2025, which starts tomorrow.

Sakurai explains why he made Kirby Air Riders

In today’s Kirby Air Riders Direct, director Masahiro Sakurai gave more background information regarding how the project came to be, including why he made the game.
It turns out that Shinya Takahashi, head of software development at Nintendo and former HAL Laboratory president Satoshi Mitsuhara really wanted to make it happen. Sakurai was busy with DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at the time, but he “managed to complete a written proposal at high speed.”

Tales of Xillia Remastered announced for Nintendo Switch

Bandai Namco confirmed speculation today that it’s bringing Tales of Xillia Remastered to Nintendo Switch. We’ll be seeing the RPG’s return on October 31, 2025.
Tales of Xillia has not actually appeared on a Nintendo platform before. Bandai Namco only released it on the PlayStation 3, but now fans on the latest platforms will have an opportunity to go through it – plus there’ll be some enhancements this time around with improved graphics, the ability to toggle encounters, and more.
Kirby Air Riders Direct official recap announcement, playable at PAX West 2025

Now that today’s Kirby Air Riders Direct has wrapped up, Nintendo has passed along an official recap announcement. A ton of information was shared in the 45-minute presentation, but thanks to the press release, everything is neatly summarized.
Also, this wasn’t covered in the presentation, but we now know that Kirby Air Riders is playable at PAX West 2025. Demos will require a Warp Pipe Pass reservation.
