Inversus Deluxe

Inversus Deluxe, the addictive action shooter for Switch, received an update this past week. Hypersect issued version 1.5.8.

Here’s an overview of the patch straight from Hypersect:

“This update simplifies adding users to local multiplayer games. Previously, when choosing additional users, you could pick one that was already selected by a friend and steal control from them. It was a bit confusing and has been prevented with the new update. This will make it easier for friends and family to choose their own user or choose the skip button to play as a guest!”

Hypersect also said that another update for Inversus Deluxe “is already headed out the door” and will be out soon.

It wasn’t too long ago that FDG Entertainment announced an overhaul for the visuals of Monster Boy. The game now features hand-drawn designs and animations.

For today’s reveal, we have a look at the new approach to the lion character. Here’s what FDG said about the change:

Today we reveal the new hand-drawn design of the lion and he wears some cool ice equipment. This is the best equipment to have for the scorching hot volcano area and will help you to survive much longer. Deal more damage to fire-based enemies and take less damage from them – it’s a perfect combination! The lion transformation makes Jin much stronger and he can dash super fast but never forget all the other transformations. Jin can switch his form anytime and you’ll need to be smart to combine them in a most efficient way. Sometimes you need the power of a lion, sometimes the small size of a tiny snake to be successful. The further you go, the more transformations are needed to survive and everyone will know that the cursed kingdom can only be saved by Monster Boy.

The Flame in the Flood recently made it to Switch. With the game having also been published on other platforms, Digital Foundry decided to see how the Switch version holds up.

Similar to other systems, The Flame in the Flood runs at an uncapped frame rate on Switch. That can lead to gameplay that isn’t always smooth. However, the title appears to be fairly comparable to the PlayStation 4 edition.

A new trailer is online for Real Farm. While the game is making its initial debut today, the Switch version is scheduled for 2018. View today’s video below.
