When World of Goo comes to Switch next month, you’ll be able to play the game in a variety of ways. For one thing, the system’s touchscreen is supported. A motion pointer option is also included similar to the Wii version back in the day.

Update 2 (2/10): Sumo Digital has now made the news official. Here are a couple of previews:

Update: Well, maybe not. It still may very well be happening, but it seems this blurb has already been removed from the Steam page. We’ll try to get an official answer for you soon.

Original (2/9): Snake Pass has a big name working on its soundtrack. According to the official Steam page, David Wise is handling the music.

Wise is one of the most well-known composers working in the gaming industry right right. In his early days, he worked on a bunch of games for Rare. More recently, he was involved with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and the upcoming Yooka-Laylee.

We should have more on Snake Pass in the near future.

During a live stream earlier today, Sumo Digital showcased the first footage of Snake Pass on Switch. Head past the break for the full archive with gameplay.

Tomorrow Corporation recently announced that World of Goo, Little Inferno, and Human Resource Machine will be ready for Switch’s launch on March 3. Just in case you had any doubts, Europe is getting all three games on the same day. It’ll be a simultaneous release.

Tomorrow Corporation also said that its games work with all three Switch modes. That means you’ll be able to play the titles on your television (or any other way you see fit).

Engadget published a piece today about developer aeiowu bringing TumbleSeed to Switch. As part of that, the site received a comment from Nintendo about indies in general.

“Nintendo greatly values its collaborations with indie developers across the world, and is working closely with them on a wide range of content,” a representative told the site. The same statement adds, “We look forward to discussing more as we approach GDC 2017.”

GDC is just around the corner – the event begins on February 27.

aeiowu recently announced TumbleSeed for Switch. This was made possible after the studio reached out to Nintendo this past summer.

Speaking with Engadget about the experience of bringing TumbleSeed to the new console, designer Greg Wohlwend said:

“TumbleSeed has a lot of the same values a Nintendo game has. It’s colorful and easy to get into. But it also has a lot of the things from the NES days, especially difficulty. We’ve spent a ton of energy on getting TumbleSeed to fit that combination of natural-to-learn mixed with challenging and fun, even after playing for two years. That’s how long we’ve been playing, and we still genuinely have fun with it.”

“We always felt like TumbleSeed would really be at home on a Nintendo console, so we cold-called them, and, luckily, they felt the same. I can’t speak for what’s happened in the past because this is the first time I’ve worked with Nintendo, but I can say they’ve been a joy to work with. They’re truly as excited about TumbleSeed as we are about being on the Switch, and so it’s been a really solid partnership so far.”

“There’s a wonderful invisibility to the console that I think all beautifully designed objects have. It gets out of the way and showcases the games like no other console I’ve owned.”

TumbleSeed doesn’t have a release date just yet. However, it’s currently targeted for spring.

Thanks to Game Informer, we have another look at Rime with a few more minutes of footage. Find their video attached below.

Former LucasArts developers Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick are currently finishing up their new point-and-click adventure game Thimbleweed Park. It won’t be on Switch immediately, but it sounds like it’s just a matter of time until it appears on the eShop.

Gilbert told Gamereactor:

“We’re gonna be at Xbox One at launch, Microsoft has a three month console exclusive. As soon as that period is up, we port it to the PlayStation 4, and I would love to be on Nintendo.”

“Nintendo is not particularly good at working with small developers and publishers initially, they like to go out to the big publishers and after a year they let smaller things in. We are definitely talking to Nintendo and as soon as we can do, we will port it.”

Thimbleweed Park is intended to be a spiritual successor of sorts to Maniac Mansion and The Secret of Monkey Island. You can watch a trailer for the game below.

Mutant Football League has a good chance of coming to Switch. The unique take on football is currently on Kickstarter with its $60,000 target in sight.

Digital Dreams Entertainment said that other versions of Mutant Football League are the focus, but bringing it to Switch will be considered. Actually, the team is talking with Nintendo, who has taken interest in the project.

Digital Dreams Entertainment said:

“At the moment our priority PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. But once it done we are absolutely consider mobile version and Switch as well. We already talking to Nintendo, but nothing decided yet. We are in talks with Nintendo and they like the project. We are huge fans of Nintendo and hope we can make this happen. We’ll keep you updated.”

Developer Ivan Zapala also spoke about the interest in Switch. Right now, it sounds like Digital Dreams Entertainment is waiting on proper Unity support to “start supporting this console, to try it out.”
