Lamentum launches on Switch on August 31

The sequel to Labyrinth of Refrain, RPG Labyrinth of Galleria: Coven of Dusk, is coming to Switch on November 11, 2021 in Japan. This sequel was announced in early 2019, but it has finally received a release date. 

RPG Labyrinth of Galleria: Coven of Dusk will be available for 5,980 yen as a standard edition and 8,778 yen as a limited edition on Nippon Ichi Software’s Japanese retail website.

It has not been confirmed if this release will support English language options yet.

City Connection has announced that their arcade classics Deathsmiles I & II will support English language options when they release for Switch. This is in addition to the languages of Spanish, French, and Japanese which will also be supported.

Other newly revealed details include that there will be a global online leaderboard as well as a new training mode. This lets players set their own challenges (such as stages, characters, winning conditions, etc.) and it is highly customizable. Each of these modes will have their place on this online leaderboard as well.

Finally, there will also be some DLC with the mobile game Gothic wa Mahou Otome. This DLC will be available for 2,970 yen and no release date has been given at this time.

Tools Up! Garden Party

Tools Up! has gained the final portion of its Garden Party DLC series, Episode 3: Home Sweet Home. The first episode debuted in April, followed by the second one in June.

The fall-themed chapter adds 15 levels full of new mechanics to discover and another challenger to contend with, this time the Stinky Smog. Here’s some additional information:

Jumanji: The Curse Returns

Jumanji: The Curse Returns is on the way to Switch, Marmalade Game Studio announced during Gamescom: Opening Night Live today. A release is planned for later in 2021.

Marmalade states that Jumanji: The Curse Returns will let players “experience the board game as it’s played in the original 1995 movie, presented in a contemporary digital style.” We have more information and a trailer below.

Last year, publisher Humble Games and Jacob Dzwinel announced Midnight Fight Express. The two sides confirmed plans to bring the game to Switch at Gamescom: Opening Night Live today.

Here’s some information about the project:

Publisher Big Sugar and developer Steel Mantis have announced Valfaris: Mecha Therion, an action-packed side-scrolling shoot ’em up with a satisfying old-school feel and distinct low-poly art style. The game is planned for a late 2022 release on Switch.

If Valfaris sounds familiar, that’s because Switch received that title previously. It came to the platform in October 2019.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel trailer

Konami has come forward with a proper teaser trailer for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. We’ve included today’s video below.

Last month, Konami announced Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. The free-to-play game, which will feature the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game / Official Card Game‘s official Master Rules, is in the works for Switch.

Blastoise is finally joining Pokemon Unite, The Pokemon Company and Timi Studio Group revealed today. The character will be available on September 1 for all players.

Gameplay of both Spelunky 1 and Spelunky 2 on Switch has now appeared. As fans may recall, both titles were both announced for Switch to close out 2020. The wait for both games is finally over as they’re heading to the eShop this week
