A few technical tidbits for Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD are available, including frame rate and resolution. Digital Foundry published a new analysis a short while ago delving more into the new version of the 3DS game. While at first glance it may seem straightforward, there was more done to the graphics than you might have original expected.

Here’s the full rundown of tidbits:

Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection adds two new timelines and 39 games to the playable Atari retrospective. Those who own the original release can obtain the new content as DLC later this year.

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD developer

The developer behind Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD has been revealed, and it turns out that Tantalus Media was in charge of the port.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 first came to the 3DS in 2013, though in North America it was known as Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. Next Level Games developed that title as well as Luigi’s Mansion 3. After working on Mario Strikers: Battle League, Next Level should be handling a completely new game.

Let's School release date

June 1: Let’s School secured a release date, and the game is set to come out on July 16, 2024. A new listing on the eShop provides us with that news.

PM Studios just confirmed that Let’s School would be heading to Switch in April. The company is on track to hit its launch target, as we heard it was slated for this summer.

Palworld Switch

Takuro Mizobe, the head of Palworld developer Pocketpair, recently said that the studio hasn’t received any complains from Nintendo or The Pokemon Company, and also commented briefly on a potential Switch version.

Since its reveal, Palworld has drawn plenty of comparisons to Pokemon for its creature designs. While not specifically mentioning the game specifically, The Pokemon Company issued a statement (read it in full here) a few months ago stating that it would “investigate and take appropriate measures to address any acts that infringe on intellectual property rights”. At least for now, it seems nothing came of that.

Balatro physical

Balatro is getting a brand new physical release as part of a “Special Edition”, and pre-orders are starting to go live.

The rollout of the announcement took place in a bit of an odd fashion. PlayStack technically shared the news during a Giant Bomb at Nite show a couple of weeks back. The publisher itself still never put out an official announcement, but now that the news is out there, perhaps that isn’t important.

Beyond Good Evil graphics comparison

Beyond Good & Evil: Anniversary Edition is finally here, and a video from GameXplain offers up a graphics comparison between that new version and the previous HD release. The new Switch version is going up against the Xbox 360 HD version.

While graphics are one of the main attractions, remember that Ubisoft is also giving fans plenty of other reasons to return to the action adventure classic. The title implemented quality of life improvements including autosave, and cross-save across all platforms. Plus, it packs in a new Speedrun Mode and an Anniversary Gallery.
