Winning Post 8 2018, the latest entry in the horse-racing simulation series, has been announced for Switch. Changes in this version include new horse training systems as well as new events and new characters. It will be released on March 15th, 2018. A Western localization seems extremely unlikely, so this game will likely stay Japan-only.

THQ Nordic released Legend of Kay Anniversary on Wii U in 2015. That same game may now be coming to Switch. Since Legend of Kay Anniversary has been rated by the ESRB, it could be a sign that THQ Nordic has plans to release it on the console.

Here’s an overview and trailer for those who haven’t heard of Legend of Kay Anniversary previously:

“10 years after its initial release, Legend of Kay Anniversary is a thoroughly remastered version of the original game with high resolution textures, new & more detailed character models, modern rendering techniques and crystal-clear surround sound which give this great classic a new shine.

Full of fond allusions to old martial arts films and pop culture quotes, Legend of Kay Anniversary is both an incredibly funny game and a challenging action-adventure for young and old alike.”

Famitsu will cover the first Fire Emblem Warriors DLC pack, which focuses on Fire Emblem Fates, in their magazine this week. They posted a preview of the article on their website, so we have some preliminary info and low-res screenshots.

Most importantly, we know have a concrete release date for the DLC pack – December 21st. As many people suspected, the December 31st date that was listed on the eShop was just a placeholder. Other than the new playable characters Azura, Oboro and Niles, five new costumes will also be added: Azura’s black dancer outfit, Maid Camilla, Butler Takumi, Hoshido Noble for female Corrin and Nohr Noble for male Corrin. Thanks to a screenshot released by Famitsu, we also know that Azura will have a support conversation with Corrin.

We should have some more info once we get our hands on the full issue of the magazine tomorrow.

Publisher DMM Games has announced that Gal Metal will launch on the Switch in Japan on February 8 next year. The drum-focused rhythm game, which was revealed at TGS in September, is only getting a Japanese release at this point, but since the Switch is region-free, anyone who’s interested in the game can just access the Japanese eShop to buy the game once it’s out. Gal Metal will cost 4,980 Yen.

WWE 2K18

2K Sports released a trailer to promote this week’s launch of WWE 2K18 on Switch. Take a look at the video below.

Following the reveal of Mega Man 11, Capcom put out an official press release for the game. Included in that was a tease of “a variety of difficulty options.”

The official Japanese website for Mega Man has more information about this. Four difficultly levels are included: “Newcomer Mode”, “Casual Mode”, “Normal Mode”, and “Expert Mode”. It goes without saying, but the difficulty should increase as you go up the scale, with “Expert Mode” providing the toughest challenge.

Also coming from the site, we have our first glimpse of Mega Man 11’s Robot Masters. They’re shown via silhouettes in the image below.
