Super Mario Odyssey update out now (version 1.0.1)
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 12 Comments
With Super Mario Odyssey launching today, the first update has already gone live. Version 1.0.1 is now available.
We can say that the launch update isn’t anything too speculator. “Several fixes have been made to enhance the user’s experience,” Nintendo says in its update notes.
We’ll have to see how often Super Mario Odyssey is updated in the future. Nintendo will want to address any small issues (if there are any), but this isn’t a game like Splatoon 2 or ARMS in which there will be somewhat frequent patches.
Thanks to Cameron for the tip.

We previously mentioned that Nintendo was taking Mario across the United States to celebrate the launch of Super Mario Odyssey. things culminated in New York City last night at Rockefeller Plaza.
The first big part of the celebration was an elaborate dance number set to the tune of the “Jump Up, Super Star!” song from the game. The event also had visits from the Mario costumed character and actor and singer Jordan Fisher, the chance to play Super Mario Odyssey, fans purchasing the game at midnight at the Nintendo NY store, and an appearance from Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.

Nintendo hopes to sell another 400,000 Switch units in France this year
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Switch | 2 Comments
Two weeks ago, we reported on the success of the Switch in France. Nearly 400,000 units of Nintendo’s newest system had been sold there at that point. It seems like Nintendo has some high expectations for the rest of the year as well – in an interview with Le Monde, Philippe Lavoué, general director of Nintendo France has stated that Nintendo hopes to sell another 400,000 Switch units in the next ten weeks in France. It’s an ambitious goal, but with France traditionally being Nintendo’s strongest market in Europe and the release of Super Mario Odyssey today, it’s certainly possible.
Lavoué also shared the sales figures of the two best-selling Switch games in France so far: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 280,000 copies while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been sold 260,000 times.
