Nicalis has been a roll with physical versions of Switch games. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ got things going earlier this year. Then Nicalis followed up with Cave Story+ in June.

In the months ahead, Nicalis is planning a number of new Switch games. The End is Nigh and Blade Strangers should be getting physical releases since both boxarts have already been posted. It also looks like Ittle Dew 2+ and Tiny Barbarian DX are receiving the same treatment, based on Amazon listings.

Ittle Dew+ and Tiny Barbarian DX, along with Blade Strangers, can be pre-ordered on Amazon here.

Dragon Quest XI is looking good for localization. A Dutch PR company has seemingly confirmed that they are handling PR for the release in the west. However, it’s unclear what platforms are involved. A release window is also unknown.

Dragon Quest XI is launching in Japan on July 29 on 3DS and PlayStation 4. A Switch version is also in the works, but Square Enix has yet to show it. Hopefully all versions will make it overseas.

Headup and Nicalis’ relationship will continue beyond The Binding of Isaac. In a new press release, Headup notes that Cave Story+ is one of the “next things we will tackle.” However, the company isn’t ready to share any specifics, and simply noted: “did we mention that good things come to those who wait?”

Square Enix updated the Dragon Quest XI website today with the latest screenshots. Characters Martina and Row are shown as well as the new town Grotta. Have a look at the latest images below.

Martina, Row, and Grotta were all covered heavily in the latest issue of Jump. If you missed our coverage last week, all of the details can be found here.

PlatinumGames has opened a brand new Twitter account for its Japanese fans. To celebrate, Yusuke Hashimoto drew new Bayonetta art. Hashimoto is not only the director of Bayonetta 2, but also the producer on the series’ first game.

Based on the art and activity on the Twitter page, fans are speculating about Platinum’s potential plans for Switch. Some believe that the red and blue colors are a reference to the Joy-Con controllers. Platinum liked a tweet about the connection… and some other messages about Bayonetta and Switch.

Of course, this could very well amount to nothing. We do know though that Platinum is involved with Switch in some fashion.
