Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles celebrated its 20th anniversary this week, and producer Akitoshi Kawazu shared a message with fans reflecting on the series while briefly touching on the future.

The last time the series received a new game was with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers on Wii in 2009. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition did come out in 2020, but that’s all.

Smash Bros Ultimate bugs

Have you ever wondered about the kinds of bugs that were most common during the development of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Director Masahiro Sakurai provided new insight as part of his latest YouTube video today.

First up are grabs and throws, “as actions that forcefully control another fighter can easily cause processing contradictions.” This includes grabbing a fighter in the middle of a special move. The same also tends to happen for Final Smashes. Sakurai pointed out that scene changes in particular require restraining and releasing fighters and you need to ensure that nothing else enters the scene. Also brought up is terrain, especially in Stage Builder, and V-shaped terrain can cause a lot of issues. Lastly, the Spirits system can cause problems as well.

GigaBash gameplay

The new Switch version of GigaBash has received a bunch of gameplay. 20 minutes of footage is in for the multiplayer arena brawler.

Further information about the title can be found in the following overview:

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Squidward

Another character spotlight trailer has been released for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, with the attention now shifting to Squidward from SpongeBob.

The gist of Squidward is that he has some unique movement options, “vein popping anger” that can be used for a big speed boost and damage buff, and… artistic talent. SpongeBob fans will be happy to know that he has ground charge attacks from the show. Squidward’s light aerials are also an important part of the character. Additionally, he can execute double jump cancels.
