Wii U eShop

Following the listing discovered on the ESRB earlier today, we now have confirmation that Super Mario 64 DS is this week’s North American Wii U Virtual Console title. Nintendo will be publishing the game tomorrow on the eShop.

An official description from the big N’s website reads:

“Mario, Luigi, and Wario set out for a party at Princess Peach’s castle but arrive to find it empty except for Yoshi. They soon discover that Bowser has stolen the Power Stars and imprisoned the Toads. Enter all of the castle paintings, and save the day! Then try out some action-packed minigames!”

Super Mario 64 DS is priced at $9.99.

Super Mario 64 DS might be heading to the North American Wii U Virtual Console soon. Over on the ESRB, the game has now received a new rating indicating that it’s on the horizon.

Super Mario 64 DS launched on the European Wii U Virtual Console last December. At this point, a North American release is overdue.

We should be finding out about Nintendo’s Virtual Console plans for the week later today.

Nintendo released an official video for Usas on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console. Watch it below.

A new trailer for Leuvsion’s indie Wii U game Twisted Fusion is now online. View the new video below, which focuses on action.

As the trailer shows, Twisted Fusion will be out in early October.

On the Wii U eShop, Armikrog made its debut today in both North America and Europe. Watch some footage from the game below.

Even though the date hadn’t been officially set in stone, Quest of Dungeons looked to be on track for September 1 (at least in Europe). However, Upfall Studios has now decided to move the game to a currently-unspecified date.

Ezekiel Rage and Nitrolic Games are putting the finishing touches on Rorrim, an upcoming indie game for the Wii U eShop.

Here’s an overview:

“Rorrim is a 2D game for the Nintendo Wii U eShop. After finding a magic mirror, a young princess is sucked into the glass of the mirror and finds herself inside a dark and eerie dungeon. To escape the world of the mirror, you have to help her navigate through the dungeon in the real world and in the mirrored world. Enjoy this puzzle maze game by using the Wii U GamePad.”

Nintendo will be attending PAX West early next month. Today, the company unveiled its lineup and plans for the show.

Playable games include Dragon Quest VII, Yo-kai Watch 2, and indie games Punch Club, Runbow Pocket, Severed, and World to the West.

Nintendo’s full plans for PAX West 2016 are as follows:

Nindies@Night: For the second year, Nintendo will kick off its PAX West activities with an event at the EMP Museum in Seattle. The event is free and open to the public and will give people a chance to sample both first playable and anticipated video games from our Nindie community. Playable games include Axiom Verge (Thomas Happ Games), Jotun: Valhalla Edition (Thunder Lotus Games), Shantae Half-Genie Hero (WayForward/XSEED), Severed (Drinkbox Studios), World to the West (Rain Games), FAST Racing NEO – NEO Future Pack (Shin’en) and SteamWorld Heist (Image & Form) for the Wii U console, and Runbow Pocket (13AM Games), Punch Club (tiny Build Games), Severed (Drinkbox Studios), Azure Striker GUNVOLT 2 (INTI CREATES), Noitu Love: Devolution (MP2 Games) and Gurumin: A Monsterous Adventure (Mastiff) for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Attendees will also have the chance to snag some giveaways and prizes, while supplies last.
