Mighty No. 9 delayed once again, this time to “Spring 2016”

After its phenomenal success on Kickstarter, Mighty No. 9 has had a somewhat troubled development period, with multiple delays and lukewarm receptions to its gameplay. Today, an e-mail was sent to backers of the project from Keiji Inafune himself, informing them that the game would not be ready in time for its targeted release date of in February. Inafune cites bugs in the game’s network / online as the reason for the delay. The new release date is, for the moment, set as “Spring 2016”.
Here’s Inafune’s statement in full:
To the fans eagerly awaiting the release of Mighty No. 9,
Unfortunately, we have an announcement that will be very disappointing to all of you. In preparation for the February release of Mighty No. 9 we have been working hard with our partners to resolve any network issues and porting work necessary to publish Mighty No. 9 on the various platforms. However, the issues relating to the network modes were more critical than expected, and it has become apparent that we will need to delay the game from its February 9th release date. We have been working up until the very last moment to resolve these issues in order to make the February release, but it has become clear that we no longer have enough time to fix the issues and have everything prepared for release.

Slain! expected on Wii U between May and July
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 5 Comments
Slain! has been delayed once again. Wolf Brew Games and Digerati Distribution now plan to have the title ready on March 24 for PC, followed by other platforms including Wii U sometime between May and July.
The main reason behind this latest delay is difficulty. “Right now no mortal man or woman could possibly get past Slain!’s intense platforming, traps and monstrosities,” Wolf Brew Games said in a recent statement.
Thanks to Cho for the tip.

Gunscape now targeted for release in February
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 3 Comments
We first reported on Gunscape last September. Blowfish Studios’ first-person shooter lets players create their own levels and multiplayer maps. That’s in addition to cross-platform sharing, which allows for content to be exchanged with other platforms such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Gunscape was originally planned for release in January. This month has almost finished, and now Blowfish says that they hope to have the title ready sometime in February.
The developer told one fan on Twitter earlier this month:
@c4white33 Hi Connor! We're happy to hear that you're excited about it! And about your question, we're aiming to release it in February 🙂
