Wii U was Teslagrad’s most profitable platform
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 7 Comments
Teslagrad ended up on a whole bunch of platforms. But in the end, it turns out that it was most profitable on Wii U.
Speaking about why Teslagrad did so well on Wii U, Rain Games CEO Peter Wingaard Meldahl told Gamasutra:
“There was not many titles released for [the Wii U], comparatively. Indie titles actually got a good visibility on the platform.”
Meldahl noted that Teslagrad sat in each of the top two slots on Nintendo’s storefront for a couple weeks. With other systems, this would never have happened.

Ackk Studios once again says Chromophore: The Two Brothers Director’s Cut is still happening

AckkStudios has long been working on a couple of projects for Wii U. The first, YIIK, is starting to near the end of development and is also now on the way to Switch. The other is Chromophore: The Two Brothers Director’s Cut.
In February, AckkStudios said that Chromophore: The Two Brothers Director’s Cut is still happening. Nothing has changed since then, as the game is in the pipeline. It will receive the studio’s full attention once YIIK is fully complete. Of course, it remains to be seen where it’ll end up – likely Switch at the very least.
Humanitarian Helicopter currently free on the North American eShop

If you’re looking for a free game on Wii U, you may want to give Humanitarian Helicopter a look. It’s currently showing as free on the North American eShop. You can claim it from Nintendo’s website here.
Note that you won’t get any Gold Points on My Nintendo with this one, even though it was originally $10. Nintendo may have cleared up the “glitch” where points were being given out when games were being made available for free.
Thanks to Vinicius for the tip.
