Wii U eShop

Word came in a few days ago that forma.8 is slated for February 23 on the European Wii U eShop. Fortunately, North America will also be getting it on the same day as well. Have a look at the official launch trailer below.

Many indie developers have been shifting plans from Wii U to Switch over the past few weeks. However, AckkStudios is remaining steadfast in bringing previously-announced titles to the console.

YIIK and Chromophore: The Two Brothers Director’s Cut are both still planned for Wii U. Even though AckkStudios hasn’t had much to say about either game as of late, it doesn’t look like anything has changed.

More:

Yesterday, Gradius hit the Wii U Virtual Console along with Bomberman ’94. We now have some footage of the classic release below.

Plantera was already confirmed for launch on the European eShop next week. Ratalaika Games has now followed up about plans for North America, and we can now say that both regions will have the title on February 9.

Plantera will cost $4.99 / €4.99. Cross-buy is supported, so if you buy it on Wii U, you’ll get the 3DS version free (and same goes in the opposite direction).

Ghost Blade HD is coming sooner than expected. After only just announcing the Wii U eShop release last week, a launch month has already been set.

A specific date should be shared next week, but Hucast Games says it’s actually heading to the eShop this month. It will run at 720p with a TATE/portrait screen option available.

Bomberman ’94 arrives on the Wii U Virtual Console today. Take a look at a bunch of footage from the download below.

The file sizes for both versions of Plantear are in. For Wii U, the size is 49 MB. On 3DS, it’s 120 blocks, which amounts to 15 MB.

It seems that MixedBag Games has fulfilled their promise and we’ll see forma.8 on Wii U very soon.

Thanks to the already available page on the European Wii U eShop, we know that forma.8 is going to be available February 23rd and that it will have an estimated size of 1664.3 MB.

Keep in mind that this is the release date for Europe. It could be different for America.
