Diddy Kong not confirmed for Mario Kart 8 after all
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 2 Comments
Diddy Kong has now been… unconfirmed for Mario Kart 8. We initially thought that the character would be included in the roster based on an article from Spain’s Official Nintendo Magazine, but it turns out this was a mistake. Director Juan Carlos Garcia confirmed on Twitter that ONM made an error.
That said, Diddy Kong isn’t necessarily ruled out all together. This just indicates that the magazine was inaccurate.
Thanks to Core Sublime for the tip.

Recently, the Disney Store posted a Darth Vader figurine photo on Facebook, which features a base similar to the existing Disney Infinity toys. This led to questions regarding the possibility of Star Wars joining the popular sandbox game.
The Disney Store has since clarified that the photo is not at all connected to Disney Infinity, noting that there are “no plans for Star Wars to join Disney Infinity at this moment in time”.
The full message reads:
“Whilst there are no plans for Star Wars to join Disney Infinity at this moment in time… please do continue to check back for more exciting updates to our Star Wars collection.”

Will Diddy Kong be in Mario Kart 8?
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii U | 4 Comments
Might Diddy Kong be included on the roster for Mario Kart 8?
The Spanish edition of ONM has posted a preview shot from its latest issue featuring the upcoming racer. You’ll notice that Diddy Kong is clearly shown among Mario Kart 8’s characters.
I wouldn’t say this officially confirms Diddy Kong’s appearance in Mario Kart 8. Still, it’s interesting that he’s included in ONM’s preview. Could the magazine have made a mistake? We’re just a little more than a month away from Mario Kart 8’s launch, so it shouldn’t be too long before we find out if this is the real deal.

Disney has started sending out media invitations for an event set to take place on April 30. The company plans to show off “the latest chapter of Disney Infinity”, though it’s unclear if this refers to a brand new game or an add-on to the existing title.
