Unbelievably, Nintendo Everything is celebrating its sixth anniversary today. That number alone – “six” – completely boggles my mind. When our doors opened in 2007, I could never have predicted that the site would still be alive and kicking today.

Now, it’s true that we’ve gone through plenty of other anniversaries since NE came about, but this one is particularly special. I wanted it to be special in order to commemorate today’s occasion. And so for the first time in Nintendo Everything’s history, we’re introducing a major redesign.

Kotaku recently asked Zelda producer about which Nintendo franchise he’d like to work on next if given the opportunity.

We know one thing: it wouldn’t be Mario.

Aonuma told Kotaku that he’s “not any good at that type of jumping game.”

He was next suggested Pikmin. He believes that if he were to make a new entry in this series, it could turn into Zelda because he feels the two share some parallel idaes.

Here’s the full exchange between Aonuma and Kotaku:

Spike just recently put up an interview with Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma. It’s filled with lots of questions about A Link Between Worlds, such as stealth elements, Ravio’s role, comparisons to New Super Mario Bros. U’s Nabbit, and whether it was ever considered for Wii U (nope). Aside from that, there are also some off-beat topics like localizing Marvelous: Another Treasure (directed by Aonuma many years ago).

You can find some excerpts from the interview below. Spike’s full piece is located here.

We posted GameStop’s full Black Friday ad earlier today, but wanted to highlight a few offers.

First, Xenoblade and Metroid Prime Trilogy will both be dropped to $40. The two games are currently priced at $69.99 and $59.99 respectively.

Nintendo and Activision will also prepare a Skylanders Swap Force Wii U bundle. For $299.99, consumers will receive an 8GB console (yep, it’s back), a copy of the game, three figures, and a $25 gift card.

Also, don’t forget the Zelda and Luigi 3DS bundles, which we posted about earlier today.

IronFall is an ambitious third-person shooter from developer VD-Dev – the same team behind C.O.P. The Recruit (fully open world on the DS) and the V-Rally Game Boy titles. Even though the studio has shared just one off-screen image thus far, comparisons have already been made to a well-known Xbox franchise.

The 3DS eShop title “will offer gameplay like a Gears of War game, so if you like Gears of War, IronFall is a game for you,” VD-Dev co-founder Fernando Velez says. But in order to keep things fresh, mini-games and other elements will be included.

Nintendo’s has responded to the latest NPD sales results.

The 3DS was once again the best-selling console in the US, and Wii U hardware sales saw a boost as well. The console saw a 200 percent rise over August – and that’s with only 15 days of data being reported at the new $299.99 price point.

You can find Nintendo’s full response below.

Players will unlock a new difficulty level after completing A Link Between Worlds. That comes directly from Eiji Aonuma, producer of the series.

Gameswelt has obtained information from Aonuma about A Link Between Worlds’ development as well. Over 90 staffers worked on the game, and first ideas for the game were collected after Spirit Tracks was completed.
