Wii U

Nintendo have uploaded a new entry in their series of videos focusing on specific aspects of Super Mario Maker. The video focuses on how gameplay changes across all four game styles, including items and moves only available in a specific style. Check it out below:

Netflix has received a fairly substantial update on Wii U. New functionality has been added, and the application itself has been overhauled.

It’s now possible to select and create profiles. Also in terms of functionality, television episodes now auto-play. You can also resume from where you’ve left off as well.

Select GameStop locations are giving consumers an opportunity to try out Super Mario Maker before its launch on September 11. This Saturday, several outlets will be hosting a demo event from 12 PM to 3 PM local time. The full lineup of eligible locations can be found here.

Update: That didn’t take long! Nintendo has now confirmed that the weapons are due out tomorrow in North America, and Saturday in Europe.

– 3 AM in the UK
– 4 AM in Europe

Around 15 minutes ago, Nintendo of America sent out a tweet about new weapons coming to Splatoon tonight. But strangely, it was deleted soon after.

We did manage to capture an image of the tweet – you can see it above. You’ll also find screenshots of the new weapons below.

I’d imagine we’ll be seeing these new weapons either today or tomorrow. When Nintendo republishes the news, we’ll update this post.

On September 1, Nintendo and Valhalla Game Studios will be adding new content to Devil’s Third. The game will be receiving a new rule set, area, and Special Arms – as shown in the image above. Additionally, players can earn five times the experience when playing the Carnival rule set between September 1 and September 8.

Kerbal Space Program – the popular space flight simulator from developer Squad – is officially coming to Wii U! Kerbal Space Program has been out for a while to the public for a few years now but was officially released on Steam earlier this year to a very positive reception, being ranked 6th on Steam overall by user reviews. So far, the last few months have seen Squad announcing Kerbal Space Program for more platforms, and as of now is confirmed for Wii U. Check out the trailer below!
