Wii U

During a recent event for Rodea: The Sky Soldier in Japan, a bit more was shared on the revitalization of the title.

As many of you know, Rodea was first announced for Wii and 3DS back in January 2011. It disappeared after a few months and it wasn’t until November 2014 that it resurfaced again. People didn’t believe that Rodea would see a release before the game re-emerged at the time.

What you see above could have been the boxart for ZombiU (disregarding the Wii label of course). It was an early mock-up design for the game’s production. Ultimately, Ubisoft toned the image down as to not intimidate consumers.

Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the Mario Party 10 amiibo bundle. Along with a copy of the game, you’ll receive a Mario figure. Those who are interested in the bundle can place an order here.

GameFly listed Terraria for Wii U and 3DS earlier this week. At the time, we couldn’t be sure if those listings were legitimate or innocuous errors. But thanks to new findings at a different retailer, it seems quite possible that 505 Games is indeed bringing Terraria to both of Nintendo’s platforms.

Terraria popped up for both Wii U and 3DS on Amazon today. A $29.99 price point is listed, along with a tentative October 31 launch date.

There is one strange thing about this situation: GameFly has since pulled its Wii U and 3DS Terraria listings. GameFly tends to be reliable more often than not, so I’m wondering if that was done simply because 505 Games hasn’t made an announcement yet. Either way, we’ll try to get an official answer from the company.

Xenoblade Chronicles X producer producer Shingo Kawabata handled today’s Twitter update, in which he briefly talked about the game’s voice cast.

Here’s what was shared:

“I wasn’t really informed of this, but it seems we’re planning on updating the official site every week. I wonder if we’ll be all right? Then again, Nomura and the web design staff are extremely motivated, so I’m sure they’ll work hard for your sake.”

“As we present our characters, we’re also revealing the people that have lent us their voices. We’ve managed to acquire an outstanding cast, so you can look forward to hearing their work. As there was such a large amount of text, recording [the voices] took a lot of work, but the entire cast was exceptionally professional. The end result, of course, is perfection.”

Just in case you’re wondering, here’s the voice cast for Xenoblade Chronicles X:

Elma – Houko Kuwashima
Lynlee – Mariya Ise
Tatsu – Daisuke Sakaguchi
Irina – Nao Takamori
Van Damme – Tessho Genda

It’s been a little while since we saw a Wii U game with pre-load functionality. Super Smash Bros. kicked off the feature last year, though two more titles will soon be offering something similar as well.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse as well as Mario Party 10 can be pre-ordered on Nintendo’s website. Consumers are advised to get their codes now, then pre-load to be ready for their respective launches.
