The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending June 15, 2024 is now available.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance was the major new release, and thankfully for Atlus, it managed to come out on top. Meanwhile, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door held on to the same spot as last week – that being third. Also worth noting is that Luigi’s Mansion 3 made an appearance, which could be due to the upcoming Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD.

Heads up for Alien Hominid Invasion players as a new update, dubbed “The Juicy Variety”, is now here on Switch.

The updates includes various new content for the game plus adjustments, fixes, and more. There’s new content and mechanics, including new level areas, dangerous new hazards (crafty aliens can use some to their advantage), game-changing loot modifiers (dodge roll while dropping a bomb), lower intel requirements (spend less time pushing papers), a brand new alien mutation, and the mini-boss that you can pilot after defeating: the MECHA F.R.O.G.

We have the full rundown on the update below.

Publisher Sneg, along with developers Seawolf Studio and General Arcade, today announced that Captain Blood will be released on Switch. The title is lacking a launch window for now.

Captain Blood is an action game with a hack-and-slash focus and pirate theme. The action is set in the 17th century and you’ll take on the role of a pirate seeking gold and glory.

A new Nintendo Direct will be held tomorrow, June 18, Nintendo has announced. It will air at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe. Expect it to cover titles releasing in the latter half of 2024.

This is one of the rare instances in which Nintendo confirmed ahead of time that a new presentation was coming. When president Shuntaro Furukawa said at the start of May that the Switch successor will be announced within the next fiscal year, it was also stated that a Nintendo Direct would air sometime this month. However, the event will focus only on titles for the current Switch.

Those interested in getting a closer look at Lesson Learned can do so with new gameplay. The tower defense title landed on Switch this week.

If you’ve been playing Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, you might be wondering what the canon name of your player character is. With a little digging, we’ve managed to uncover a tentative answer.

Like many RPGs, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will allow you to name the protagonist yourself. However, the game does not provide you with a default name to use if you don’t have one in mind or would prefer to go with a canon name, and in-game he is referred to only as “the Nahobino” by party members, or “young man” by Aogami.

Although Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance released last week, Atlus are continuing on with their Daily Demon video series, and today we’ve been given a look at Zeus, the Greek God of thunder.

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart. Pokemon Legends: Z-A takes over again as the top Switch title.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between May 29 and June 4.
