Two new rewards have arrived on Club Nintendo Japan, one of which should look familiar to US members. That’s right: the North American Platinum reward from 2010 has hit the Japanese site. Users can place an order for 900 points.

The second reward is a Kirby’s 20th anniversary goodie. A 40×40 Kirby medal is available for 200 points.

A Nintendo Direct dedicated entirely to Dragon Quest X will be shown on Monday. Satoru Iwata will be on hand to present information and gameplay for Square Enix’s anticipated RPG.

The presentation will be shown at 20:00 local time. You’ll be able to watch the broadcast here.

Fire Emblem will be hitting the Japanese eShop as a Famicom download on August 1 for 500 yen. Screenshots of the game can be found above.

A new firmware update is available for the 3DS. As is the case with past upgrades, it does not provide any new functionality.

Nintendo’s website says that the update makes “improvements to overall system stability” which “enhance the user experience.”

Although it isn’t significant, the download must be applied if users wish to access the eShop.
