During its latest financial results Q&A, SEGA commented on the sales performance of Sonic Superstars.

The company pointed out the strong reception among fans. However, the game “has been short of the initial forecast.” At least partially, SEGA is putting the blame on competing with other titles “in the same genre”. No games were specifically named, but Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Sonic Superstars did come out within just a few days of each other.

War of Aero is joining the Arcade Archives series on Switch, Hamster announced today. It will be available on February 29, 2024.

War of Aero is a vertical scrolling shooting game, first released by Alume in 1993. Players will operate a plane with pods attached to the left and right sides, which they’ll need to change the direction of to aim shots. The game will also support 2 player sessions.

War of Aero will be sold digitally on the Switch eShop. Pricing is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

Alear: Engaging Fire has been revealed as the next Legendary Hero for Fire Emblem Heroes.

Alear is voiced by Brandon McInnis and has art from Mikuro. Divine One’s Arts, Dragon’s Roar, Emblems’ Miracle, S/R Bulwark 4, and Atk/Spd Pledge are the learnable skills (at 5 stars).

Side Order, Splatoon 3’s new DLC campaign, is now available, and we have a full list of rewards players can obtain.

Side Order is a single-player roguelike mode that sees you climbing up the Spire of Order. You’ll take down enemies, earn a currency called Prlz, and then use that currency to claim exclusive rewards in the main multiplayer mode of Splatoon 3. We wrote a guide that includes some general tips and tricks for Side Order, and you can check that out here. Since we’ll be talking about Side Order rewards here, there are definitely lots of spoilers afoot. That being said, we won’t discuss the names of story-tied bosses and enemies. If you’re okay with that, then let’s get into the full list of rewards.

February 21: Shin Megami Tensei V is getting another lease on life with a just-announced Vengeance version. Atlus will be releasing it for Switch on June 21, 2024.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance was first made known via a leak a couple of days ago. A rating for the title briefly appeared in Korea before being removed.

Nintendo has updated the Japanese release schedule on its platforms for the week of March 7, 2024. Here’s a look at the upcoming digital download schedule:

Nintendo has filed a new lawsuit against the creators of Yuzu, an emulator used for Switch. The document notes that the tech illegally circumvents its software encryption and facilitates piracy.

Nintendo’s lawsuit points out that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom saw over one million copies downloaded before the official launch. Also highlighted is that Yuzu’s Patreon support doubled during that time.
