Today, Boss Team Games and WayForward unveiled RetroRealms, and the first two releases are based on John Carpenter’s Halloween and Ash vs Evil Dead. They’ll be available for Switch on October 18, 2024.

These two new games offer a 16-bit-style platformer experience. In Halloween, players control Michael Myers and other characters from the original 1978 film to slash through familiar settings and overcome the ultimate evil that has descended upon our world. Ash vs Evil Dead fans can play as Ash Williams to battle through iconic locations inspired by the Starz original series while fighting Deadites and other familiar characters from the hit show.

[Review] Cat Quest III

System: Switch
Release date: August 8, 2024
Developer: The Gentlebros
Publisher: Kepler Interactive

We have had so many cat-focused indie games over the last decade that it could practically be a genre unto itself, but few are as charming, engaging, or downright fun, as Cat Quest. The simplistic yet punchy combat, tightly-packed but unrestricted open world, and overbearing onslaught of feline related puns all combine to make it an experience that has always left me wanting more. Developer The Gentlebros have now graced us with a third installment, Cat Quest III, which continues to improve upon the established formula and takes it into uncharted waters as we set sail on a swashbuckling pirate (or should that be “Pi-rat”?) adventure.

Years after it was announced, 3 Minutes to Midnight finally received a release date, and it’s coming out in just a few days. The title heads to Switch on August 22, 2024.

3 Minutes to Midnight, a point-and-click adventure game, was revealed for Switch way back in 2018. It was originally planned for the following year, but that obviously didn’t happen. Now after the lengthy wait, we’ll be seeing the game very soon.

Glover was previously announced for Switch, but Limited Run Games just came forward with the news that it’s working on a physical release.

Although only a standard version is planned, that in itself is pretty big news. Note that Limited Run Games says the release is not a part of its own collection and it’s simply handling distribution for QUByte Interactive.

Rachael Lillis, who was most well known for her work on the Pokemon anime series having voiced Misty and Jessie, has sadly passed away.

Lillis died on August 10 following a battle with breast cancer. She was 55.

Cooking will have players running a restaurant in the middle of the city. They’ll complete orders, learn new recipes, and improve their skills.
