Premium Edition Games has announced not one, but four new Switch physical releases. Gordian Quest, Tadpole Treble Encore, Scarlet Tower, and Curse Crackers: For Whom the Belle Toils will all be sold in boxed form on the console for the first time. C.A.R.L. Computer Automated Resource Locator is also reconfirmed for physical release.
Premium Edition Games is planning standard editions and “Retro Editions”. The former is just the title on a cartridge, but also comes with a slipcase, full color manual, and challenge card. The Retro Edition adds a soundtrack, special box, and extra item.
Gordian Quest is already up on Premium Edition Games’ website here. Tadpole Treble Encore and Scarlet Tower will follow “in the coming weeks”. Curse Crackers should be out this summer (as well as C.A.R.L. Computer Automated Resource Locator).
Nintendo has started up the latest Switch firmware update, and version 18.0.0 is rolling out worldwide.
Past updates have typically been about stability. While that’s still the case here, it’s at least slightly more exciting this time around. The Sleep Mode Settings now include a 15-minute option for auto-sleep when connected to a television. Additionally, Korean support is added for the Switch Parental controls intro video.
Here’s the official rundown of the update:
Roman Sands RE:Build is one of the strangest games I’ve played in a while, and that’s saying something, because I’ve played a lot of weird games lately. On a surface level, this first-person adventure appears to be an eccentric experience about performing menial tasks for the entitled guests of a strange luxury resort. It quickly becomes apparent that there’s much more going on behind the scenes: time seems to be looping, and also, the apocalypse might be nigh – or did it already happen? Despite having demoed this game twice now, I’m still not entirely sure what it’s about, but I can confidently say I’ve never played anything quite like it.
Singularity 6 just started distribution of the latest Palia update, version 0.178.
The all-new Temple of the Roots, new Flowers and Trees System, and controller rebinding are just some of the highlights. Of course, there are bug fixes and other aspects to the update.
