A new update is now live for Mario Kart Tour, bringing the version number to 2.0.0. The update is live for both iOS and Android devices, and players can see the following changes from the patch notes below:
- Added support for racing against players from around the world via multiplayer. This service is scheduled to become available on March 8th, at 8:00 PM PT.
- Added a camera feature. Using this feature during a race allows you to freely move the camera around your driver as they automatically steer. Use it to view the action from different angles!
- Made other adjustments and addressed known issues to improve the overall gameplay experience.
- Additional details: this update will become mandatory on March 8th/9th 2020.
New game footage has arrived for Alien Hominid Invasion. This title comes from The Behemoth, the same team that brought us the popular Castle Crashers, and you can take a look a small intro from them along with the video below:

Numerous ratings have popped up in several locations in the last few months, but finally we have a cover art found on popular retailer Play-Asia. You can see the listing for the game here. It is also worth noting that a US ship date of June 30th of this year is attached to the listing, but whether that is a concrete window or simply a placeholder remains to be seen. As fans may recall, special figures for Pyra and Mythra were produced based on their appearance in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Units sold out quickly the first time around, but now you have another opportunity to purchase both.
Play-Asia has now opened pre-orders for a restock. Pyra is available here and Mythra is here. The two figures aren’t expected to be available for very long, so be sure to pre-order while you can.
In our continuing translations of Famitsu’s most recent issue, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto shared some details on how he acts as an ambassador and protector of the Super Mario brand.
In this portion of the interview, Miyamoto discusses how the “Mario” brand needs a person who can call the shots on the criteria for what is and isn’t “Mario-esque”, so that’s what he does. He also ensures that he oversees any game that has Mario in it to some degree.
Nintendo released a new trailer for Dr. Mario World showcasing the game’s latest characters. As previously announced, Dr. Fire Luigi and Dr. Fire Rosalina are in as new doctors while Bony Beetle is appearing as an assistant.

Darius Cozmic Collection 2 is in development for Switch, Taito announced today. A release is planned for this winter in Japan.
Specifics of Darius Cozmic Collection 2 have yet to be outlined. As for the original collection, it came west as Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade and Darius Cozmic Collection Console. The two contained four different arcade titles in seven versions and six different console titles in nine versions respectively.
