A new stage featuring Mareanie is now available in Pokemon Shuffle and will be available until January 30th. A competitive Mega Salamance and Electrode are also available until January 23rd. Lastly Xurkitree, Palossand, Lycanroc & Thundurus Therian Forme have all started their repeat runs.
Last week, Broken Rules announced Old Man’s Journey for Switch. The game comes from the same studio as And Yet it Moves and Chasing Aurora.
Broken Rules has since shared a few additional tidbits about the Switch version. In terms of features, a two-player mode will be included in addition to support for HD Rumble. You’ll also be able to play the game with motion pointer controls. Touchscreen and stick input are in, too.
After a fairly lengthy hiatus, 2D Metroid was back in the spotlight with Samus Returns. Nintendo and MercurySteam partnered together on the 3DS game, which debuted last September. It wasn’t entirely new, but was a remake of the Game Boy title Metroid 2: Return of Samus.
Samus Returns could be just the start of Metroid’s 2D resurgence. Rumor has it that another entry in the franchise is in development.
In an interview with The OP, Vertex Pop founder Mobeen Fikree says he and his team are working on a new title for the Switch. Vertex Pop previously released Graceful Explosion Machine for the console back in April of last year.
We were overwhelmed with the reception Graceful Explosion Machine received from Nintendo fans, so we’re definitely working on a new game for the Switch.

Limited Run Games has finally announced its first game for Switch – and it’s an entirely new one. Saturday Morning RPG will release on Nintendo’s console, the company has revealed.
Saturday Morning RPG is planned to arrive on Switch this spring both physically and digitally. For the physical version, it will be sold exclusive on the Limited Run Games online store.
A tweet from Netflix spread online after one person was told that there are no plans for the service on Switch. However, a spokesperson has now offered a bit of a different statement.
Netflix’s official comment is the following: “We are still exploring the opportunity with Nintendo, but don’t have definitive plans to share at this time.” We’re also hearing that Netflix will send an update with a similar message on @Netflixhelps.
You’d have to think that, in due time, Netflix will land on Switch. It’s just a matter when.
In Japan, Gust has announced a ton of DLC for Atelier Lydie & Suelle: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting. Players will be able to purchase content featuring music from other Atelier games, a collaboration with Nights of Azure 2, a boss battle against Sophie, and more.
Coinciding with the DLC news, a 1.01 update has been issued. This increases the level cap and more.
