AK-xolotl Beach Episode update

A new content update for AK-xolotl, which is known as the “Beach Episode” has been released.

A bunch of content is included here – a new biome, more enemies, new axolittles, and a new challenging boss. That’s along with the latest round of fixes.

As we start to wind down on the Switch era, an interesting tidbit has come to light regarding the mainline Pokemon games. Nintendo’s latest console is where the franchise has achieved the most success and highest sales.

Pokemon games have managed to sell over 96 million copies on Switch. Pokemon Sword and Shield are the current best-sellers at 26.27 million. However, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are right behind at 24.92 million. And speaking of Scarlet and Violet, they’re the fastest selling entry in the series and the third best-selling title overall.

Cat Quest III characters

Cat Quest III received its latest trailer today highlighting some of the game’s characters. We’re able to see Mama Milka (Milky Barrel tavern owner), Kidd Cat (blacksmith), Captain Cappey (your guide), Captain Meowtallika (enemy), and Captain Takomeouki (enemy).

Tales of Kenzera ZAU update 1.1

EA and Surgent Studios announced the first-post launch update for Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, and version 1.1 will soon be out on Switch.

Various improvements and fixes have been implemented across the board. The team says it’s been monitoring feedback and vital bug reporting in order to offer a better experience for everyone.

Cronela's Mansion

Today, Spanish developer Straynus announced Cronela’s Mansion. The Switch title is targeting its launch for 2025. NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and GBA versions are also planned.

Cronela’s Mansion is an open-world point-and-click adventure game that has players controlling Tommy as he explores the sprawling estate, solves clever puzzles, and interacts with a colorful cast of characters through a branching dialogue system as he works to uncover the enigmatic mansion’s many mysteries. The project has been in the works for over four years and is said to be a spiritual successor to Maniac Mansion.

The Last Faith update 1.5.2

A massive update has come to the Switch version of The Last Faith in the form of version 1.5.2.

The patch includes a ton of improvements, adjustments, and fixes. Some of the highlights include frame rate enhancements, NPC markers on the map, a gameplay pause feature, rebalancing, and more.

Heroes of Loot Gauntlet of Power

OrangePixel has announced its new project Heroes of Loot: Gauntlet of Power for Switch. It’s currently targeting a Q4 2024 release.

Heroes of Loot: Gauntlet of Power is a roguelike combining dungeon crawling with bullet-heaven gameplay. The Binding of Isaac, Vampire Survivors, and The Legend of Zelda seem to be some of the title’s inspirations.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Dreamlight Parks Fest

Starting today, Disney Dreamlight Valley players can access a new Dreamlight Parks Fest event. It will be running until June 5.

The event features new activities in which players can earn exclusive event recipes and furniture that are themed after Disney Parks. A few of the Villagers will also provide recurring daily and weekly quests – specifically Scrooge McDuck, Ursula, WALL·E, Mickey Mouse, and Moana. If you complete their requests, you’ll earn Green Buttons. Three new achievements are also now accessible that provide a Disney Parks-inspired map.

Sword of the Necromancer Resurrection

February 12: Grimorio of Games today unveiled Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection, a 3D remake of the original game. It’ll be heading to Switch in 2024, but prior to Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant.

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection was originally planned as a stretch goal in the sequel’s Kickstarter campaign. The game will be using Revenant’s engine, and players will be able to relive Tama’s quest to resurrect her lover in 3D. Grimorio of Games says there’ll be “exciting new ways to battle and renewed mechanics and systems, including the possibility of customizing the summoned monsters’ AI.” Also included are remastered high quality illustrations and voice acting (both in English and Japanese) along with new scenes to delve deeper in Tama and Koko’s tragic love story. Those who beat the game can also receive rewards in Revenant, including the ability to summon bosses from the remake as special summons.

May 2: A new Splatfest is starting soon for Splatoon 3. This time, the game wants to know what you’d do in the face of the end of the world. Same Ol’, Bucket List, and Save the World are all options.

You’ll be able to give input when the Splatest is held on May 18. The event will conclude on May 20.
