At the end of the latest Nintendo Direct, we finally got a meaty look at the heavily anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. What secrets lie beyond in this 2 minute and 16 second trailer? Sam and I break down every frame to find out.

February is usually special for Nintendo fans, as it typically spells the ringing of a new Direct. That held true with yesterday’s presentation, as Nintendo revealed its upcoming slate for the first half of the year with quite a few surprises to come over the next few months.

As the Nintendo Direct was happening, Sam and I reacted to some of the best reveals, including Pikmin 4, Metroid Prime Remastered, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Check out our highlights video below.

The team behind Skul: The Hero Slayer has announced that a big “Dark Mirror” game will be going live on consoles next week, including Switch.

Dark Mirror is a new mode with more powerful enemies and lots of other features. A ton of other changes and bug fixes are also incoming.

Other Ocean Interactive is still toying away on Project Winter, and has just come through with a new “Speak the Truth” update.

One of the major aspects is here is that ToxMod has been implemented for voice moderation. Plenty of balance adjustments and bug fixes are live as well.

Ice-Pick Lodge has passed along word that it’s bringing Know by Heart to Switch. It will be available on March 9, 2023.

In the flood of news this week stemming from the latest Nintendo Direct, something fans may have missed is that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC will be adding even more returning characters in the future.

For the first three waves, only new tracks were added. However, for the fourth round, Nintendo announced that Birdo is on the way. Confirmation of even more characters were confirmed in the Nintendo Direct recap we posted, but that was something may probably missed. We should be seeing at least two more roster additions later in 2023.

Team17 and Wonderscope Games issued a substantial update for Hokko Life on Switch this week, dubbed “World Shrines”.

The update includes new features, changes, and fixes. Players can expand their housing, teleport with World Shrines, access the small barn on Aubrey’s Farm, and more. Also worth noting is that the Mayor Merits screen has been reworked and some merits have also had their requirements lowered to make them easier to unlock.
