Tingle was considered for Hyrule Warriors, possibility of other Nintendo Warriors games, Aonuma on Zelda Wii U and remakes

Technobubble published an interview with Zelda director/producer Eiji Aonuma and Koei Tecmo producer Yosuke Hayashi before the launch of Hyrule Warriors last year. While it’s a few months old, the discussion contains several noteworthy comments and we wanted to share those with you.
We hear, for example, that Tingle was considered for Hyrule Warriors as a playable character, but Aonuma advised the team against including him. Aonuma commented on the possibility of other Nintendo franchises seeing crossovers with the Zelda series, noted how he’s interested in applying what Hyrule Warriors did with bosses that move across the map for Zelda Wii U, and touched on Zelda remakes. On Hayashi’s side, he spoke about the possibility of Hyrule Warriors 2 and a few other topics.
Head past the break for several excerpts from the interview.
Here’s an interesting piece of Hyrule Warriors concept art

We’ve posted shots from the Hyrule Warriors art book before, but Destructoid has picked out design that looks particularly interesting. It’s not entirely clear what’s going on, though it seems like Link is cutting off a Bulblin’s arm. The woman in the design was featured in at least one more piece of finished art.

The DLC costumes for Hyrule Warriors can now be purchased in North America. You can grab the Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and Demon King Costume Packs for $0.99 each.
The first three DLC sets offer new costumes for Link and Zelda. The Demon King set, on the other hand, provides new costumes for Ganondorf.
Players could obtain the Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword packs as pre-order bonuses. Ganondorf’s DLC was made available as an early bonus to Club Nintendo members.

Remember those retailer exclusive Hyrule Warriors costumes? By pre-ordering the game at Amazon, Best Buy, or GameStop, players could receive Link and Zelda costumes based on Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and Ocarina of Time respectively.
Koei Tecmo has now revealed that these costumes will be available for purchase – at least in Japan – starting on December 18.
Here’s the full breakdown of content:
“Courage” Costume Set
– 400 yen
– Includes Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, and Ocarina of Time Link costumes
“Wisdom” Costume Set
– 400 yen
– Includes Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, and Ocarina of Time Zelda costumes
“Power” Costume Set
– 300 yen
– Includes Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time Ganondorf costumes
Nintendo hasn’t said anything about selling this DLC in the west, but I’d say it’s likely that the costumes will be offered in North America and Europe next month as well.
