Her Story dev has some interest in a Wii U version, cost and time are hurdles

Her Story developer Sam Barlow has some interest in releasing his critically-acclaimed game on Wii U. However, he would need to overcome a few hurdles in order to make that happen.
Barlow responded with the following when Nintendo News asked if he’s ever thought about bringing Her Story to a Nintendo platform:
“No… I mean I’d love to, but I’m guessing that the content isn’t a perfect match. Though, the keyboard interface would actually work on a Wii U.”

Cube Life: Island Survival version 1.1 out now in Europe

Cube Life: Island Survival’s 1.1 update was previously made available in North America last month. It’s now out in Europe today as well. You can either wait for your console to download it automatically, or start the software to initiate the download.
Major features included with the 1.1 patch are as follows:
– Local Multiplayer with Deathmatch, Tower Defense, Co-op Modes
– Create and play custom maps in Multiplayer (Deathmatch)
– Now more than 350 items and tools
– Larger game map, with new enemies
– Inventory management via Wii U Gamepad, Wii U Pro Controller & Wii Classic Controller

FreezeME still planned for Wii U, no release date yet

FreezeME hit Steam last month, but we’re still waiting on the Wii U version to launch. The good news is that the eShop version is still in the cards, and it could come soon. There’s just no release at the moment. We’ll just need to be patient!
The official FreezeME Twitter account posted the following earlier today:
For those asking FreezeME is still coming to Wii U (and will do it soon) but I don't have a confirmed release date (1/2)

Shovel Knight version 2.2 due out in the near future

Shovel Knight will soon be getting another update. Version 2.2 is already out on Steam, and will be published on other platforms in the near future, including Wii U and 3DS.
Shovel Knight’s latest update introduces a few small aspects, adjustments, and fixes. Head past the break for the full patch notes.

PictoParty not releasing in Europe on Thursday after all, should be later this month

PictoParty was expected out in Europe this week. In fact, Nintendo listed the game in its weekly download PR published earlier today. But developer Retroid Interactive has since said that PictoParty won’t be hitting the European Wii U eShop due to a bug found within the game.
We are truly sad to announce that #PictoParty won't be released on Thursday. This is due to a bug we found in the game. #PleaseUnderstand

Canvaleon’s free DLC out in Europe this week

The free DLC for Canvaleon is finally launching in Europe this week. OXiAB Game Studio shared the news on Twitter, confirming a release date of January 7.
Here’s the relevant tweet:
