KnapNok Games has sent us another screenshot from its upcoming Wii U exclusive title Affordable Space Adventures. Check out the new image above, and view the official description below.
Solving puzzles is one of the core gameplay elements of Affordable Space Adventures. While some of them might seem easy at first (you still have to be able to control the SmallCraft alone or collaborating with friends) things will soon get more complicated as you put all of the ship’s systems to good use.
Of course all this without alerting the nearby artifacts that might try to attack you if you produce too much heat, noise or electricity.
Get your Wii U console ready! Affordable Space Adventures launches on April 9.

Dot Arcade hitting the North American Wii U eShop next week

Dot Arcade is coming to the North American Wii U eShop on March 26, a listing on Nintendo’s website reveals. Pricing is set at $4.99.

Doodle Dash hitting the Wii U eShop this summer

Doodle Dash, which was first announced last August, now has a more specific release window. Pocket Dragon Games has confirmed that its game will launch on the Wii U eShop this summer in North America. There are also plans to bring out Doodle Dash in Europe “as close to the North American release as possible.”
Pocket Dragon Games is now starting to show Doodle Dash’s various mini-games. The first is titled “Night Watch”. Read on below for an official description of Night Watch from Doodle Dash’s lead designer, and screenshots can be found above.
“Hey! Brandon here! Lead Designer for Doodle Dash! I’ll be the first to detail the minigame I’ve been working on lately! It’s called Night Watch. You play as a group of hooligans come to vandalize an art museum after hours. A lone security guard patrols to stop your handiwork. As he paces the screen, if you draw while he is suspicious, he will erase everything you have done so far! Have the players who are guessing warn you when he is getting close! The art is still mostly placeholder for now but the game is pretty dang fun! Stay tuned for more posts from the other designers!”

Rusty Pup targeted for release by the end of this year, but will launch in 2016 if it isn’t ready

The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup has been in the works for about two years. However, it sounds like the project still has quite a bit of development remaining before it’s completed.
In an interview with Retro, Gory Detail’s Chris Seavor said that creation of Rusty Pup is going well. There’s currently a plan in place to have the title launch by the end of this year, though it may slip to 2016 “if the game is not ready”.
Seavor’s full comments are as follows:
It’s going really well at the moment. We’ve got all the major mechanics in place now and everything seems to work fine. As usual (due to my slightly erratic approach to design), lots of new and interesting ones also fell out during the process. It’s also looking lovely if I do say so myself, way beyond our initial expectations for the game, which I’ll be showing off some sneak peeks soon in our first, somewhat informal “dev diary” on the Gory Detail blog. Everyone should check that out.
I’ve learned a long time ago to try not to stick to deadlines. If you don’t have any deadlines, then you can’t miss them.
I’m being facetious, a little. We are heading for a release window by the end of this year, but if the game is not ready, then obviously we won’t release. Needless to say, every day we get something new done. A bug gets fixed and progress is being made.
I’m very excited about Rusty Pup. I think it’s got some interesting ideas, both in terms of narrative and how we’ve approached the traditional puzzle platformer genre. It won’t be for everyone, which is just fine, because if it was (if that’s even possible), then I’d have failed miserably as a designer.
Affordable Space Adventures to cost $20

Affordable Space Adventures now has a price point. The game will cost $19.99 / €18.99 / £16.99, KnapNok Games has confirmed.
Regarding Affordable Space Adventure’s price, KnapNok Games CEO Dajana Dimovska said:
Setting a price has been tricky for us. There is a lot of great games on the eShop selling for around $15, but they are either ports from other platforms, or games that could be easily ported to other platforms at a later date. Affordable Space Adventures is uniquely designed specifically for the Wii U system and the GamePad, we have to earn all our revenue in the eShop.
There is such a great community surrounding the Wii U and people are super excited whenever a good game is coming to the platform; I am sure that people are willing to pay a few extra bucks to get a game that has been tailor made for the hardware.
We are pretty certain that this game will not see a price drop or a discount at least until after the summer. We totally understand that some people have a limited budget for games. If these people are willing to wait and buy the game in the fall, to save some dollars, we are cool with that. I just can’t promise anything about when or how much. The only thing I can promise is that the game will stay full price during this spring and summer.

IronFall Invasion version 1.1 out now in Europe

VD-Dev has prepared a new patch for IronFall Invasion that can be downloaded in Europe. Version 1.1 makes improvements to the single-player/multiplayer, and there are a few new multiplayer-specific features as well. When the update goes live in North America, we’ll be sure to let you know.
