Jotun, previously released on PC last September, is now making its way to consoles. A Wii U version is scheduled for this summer for $15.

Jotun is a hand-drawn exploration game set in a world of Norse mythology. Players take on the role of Thora, “a Viking warrior who died an inglorious death.” Thora will need to “prove herself to the Gods” if she hopes to enter Valhalla, the great hall of the afterlife in Norse mythology.

The console version will carry the full name “Jotun: Valhalla Edition” and features a “boss rush mode with even fiercer versions of the already challenging jotun,” or “Norse elementals.” The new Valhalla Mode has a higher difficulty thanks to fiercer jotun.

Some of you may recall a little game called “The Hand of Panda”. We first heard about the project in 2013 through a Kickstarter campaign. It ended up reaching its $3,000 goal, and work has continued since then.

A release date for The Hand of Panda has finally been announced. In a Kickstarter update, the game’s developers confirmed launch for March 3 – this Thursday.

Here’s the original Kickstarter pitch video:

And the game’s description from Kickstarter:

“The Hand of Panda is a culmination of several gameplay types combined to create an updated bonus round feel and experience. While mostly basing this game off our favorite bonus round, “Test your might” from the classic Mortal Kombat game, we decided it was time to update this and create something new and more enjoyable for today’s audience.

Wrapped in an Asian theme, this game challenges you acquire the skills and power necessary destroy over 50 real and exceptionally unreal known materials: Earn the right to challenge each floor of the various pagodas to break a variety of Wood, Metal, Stone, Rare, Backer Created, and Legendary Items. The journey will test your skills of speed, strategy and memorization, while facing the various obstacles in your way and become the Greatest Master the land has ever seen.”

The Hand of Panda was under consideration for Wii U at one point. Whether that’s still the case remains to be seen. If The Hand of Panda does well on 3DS, it might be possible.

It was recently confirmed that Chasing Dead would be coming to Europe on March 3. Now we can say the same for North America as well.

Thanks to a listing on Nintendo’s website, it’s confirmed that Chasing Dead is slated for March 3 in the states. The game will set you back $29.99.

Here’s an overview:

“Chasing Dead is a story-based, Sci-fi/Horror First-Person Action Shooter .The game begins with a strange phenomenon in which another Earth appears in our skies. The curiosity and fear of a doppelganger planet initiates multiple missions in order to make contact with the duplicate Earth. A team of agents, astronauts, and scientists were sent 955,600 miles across space by NASA and the US Military, however all contact is lost a few hours after their arrival. You play as a marine named “Jake” who is sent on a mission to retrieve any research and data left behind by the original survey team while fighting off hostile forces. As Jake, you must traverse the zombie-ridden lands of the alternate Earth as you battle endless hordes of the undead, frightening mutants and insane soldiers.”

On Twitter today, the indie developer showed an image from “Project Fist” – a game tentatively slated for Wii U, New 3DS, and NX (we’ll have to see if all of those platforms stick). However, it won’t be ready until 2018.
