ININ Games

The upcoming classic collection of games from publisher Taito called Taito Milestones has received a gameplay trailer. This minute and a half trailer shows a glimpse of gameplay from each of the 10 games in the collection, and even displays the box art of the physical version in Japan. 

Taito Milestones will be coming to the Switch on February 24, 2022 in Japan and will be getting a Western release at a later date. As mentioned, there will be 10 different classic games in this collection and they are the following (game descriptions courtesy of Gematsu):

Clockwork Aquario gameplay

Gameplay has come in for Clockwork Aquario, the previously lost arcade game that will now be appearing on Switch in December.

Clockwork Aquario release date

ININ Games has provided a final release date for Clockwork Aquario in the west. It will launch on December 14 in North America and November 30 in Europe, according to eShop listings. As previously mentioned, Japan is getting the title on November 30.

Clockwork Aquario is an arcade game from Wonder Boy creator Ryuichi Nishizawa that never saw a proper release – until now. The original developers came together to finally finish up the project after 30 years.

Cotton Fantasy

ININ Games is planning a proper English release of Cotton Rock ‘n’ Roll and will release the game in the west as Cotton Fantasy, the company announced today.

The title was first announced for Switch this past summer. However, this is the first time we’re hearing about any plans for the west.

Panorama Cotton trailer

To celebrate the release of Panorama Cotton on Switch, ININ Games has come out with a new launch trailer. The title made its debut in the west this week.

Panorama Cotton gameplay

Gameplay has come in for the shoot ’em up title Panorama Cotton. The game not only made its debut on Switch this week, but also saw its first official western release.

The retro shoot ’em up Cotton 100% has received a gameplay preview on Switch. This preview is the first 17 minutes of the game and it shows the story setup as well as a good amount of combat.

This is from the Japanese version though, so there is no English in the cutscenes but the gameplay remains largely unaffected by this (there will be English localization on release). Check out the full preview and more details about the game below.

The news for the Cotton series continues, as ININ Games has now announced that Cotton 100% will be appearing on Switch next week.

Cotton 100%, a scrolling shoot ’em up, first appeared on the Super Famicom in 1994. It will be making its western debut for the first time when it releases digitally for Switch on October 29.

Panorama Cotton

Panorama Cotton will be released digitally for Switch on October 29, publisher ININ Games confirmed today. This will be the first time the title is appearing outside of Japan.

Panorama Cotton originally landed on the SEGA Mega Drive in 1994. It’s a pseudo-3D rail shooter with a new twist to the series. The game begins with a burnt willow appearing in the Queen’s garden that causes the behavior of her highness to get stranger and stranger, so Cotton and Silk go on a journey to find the evil willow burner and bring an end to the disaster.

Strictly Limited Games is planning physical versions of Panorama Cotton, with pre-orders set to begin on October 24. A limited edition, priced at €29.99, comes with the game and a manual. As for the €64.99 collector’s edition, you’ll get the following:
