Why Marvel Ultimate Alliance is returning, and how Nintendo became involved with The Black Order

Nintendo surprised everyone at The Game Awards last year by announcing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. The Big N is publishing the game as a Switch exclusive, with Team Ninja handing development duties.
A couple of things happened to make the collaboration possible. First, Marvel itself was interested in bringing the series back. Then things really started to come together after Nintendo gave the company a showing of the Switch hardware prior to its public reveal.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have shared the latest character introduction for Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Today’s update is for Dodou, who is voiced by Hidenori Takahashi in the Japanese version. The English name for this character has not yet been officially confirmed.
Dodou is a member of the Blue Lions and a commoner from the Dascar region. Dascar can be found north-west of the Kingdom of Faerghus.

As part of its month-long coverage, Game Informer has revealed two new characters for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel will both be playable, the magazine confirms. We have character art for both in this post.
According to Game Informer, the full roster in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order “is well over two dozen names long”.

Nintendo has continued its character introductions for Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Today’s update is for Rea, who is voiced by Kikuko Inoue. Her English name has not yet been officially confirmed.
Rea is the leader of the Holy Church of Seiros. She’s held that position since Jeralt was a part of the Knights of Seiro.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses introduces Jeralt

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems are back again with another character introduction for Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Today’s update is for Jeralt, who is voiced by Akio Ootsuka in the Japanese version.
Jeralt play the role of the protagonist’s father, but is also a veteran knight. He previously served as the head knight for the Church of Seiros, and was considered to be the strongest knight ever. He ended up leaving his position and became a mercenary. Sadly, his wife has already passed away. Jeralt returns to the Knights of Seiros towards the start of Fire Emblem: Three Houses after students are saved from the Officer’s Academy.

Over on the official Japanese Fire Emblem Twitter account, Sothis from Fire Emblem: Three Houses is introduced. She’s voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa in the Japanese version.
Sothis is a mysterious girl who appears in the hero’s dream. She saves the protagonist using her powers to remind time. After this happens, they are able to communicate as if she was in his head. However, only the protagonist can see her. Sothis lost her memories, and although she may look like a little girl, she speaks more like an old woman.
