Tetris Forever

August 27: Tetris Forever, a compilation of classic Tetris games and more, was just announced for Switch. The title arrives later in 2024.

Tetris Forever features the original 1988 Famicom version of Tetris, Tetris 2 + Bombliss, Tetris Battle Gaiden, and more. One of the special features is  Tetris Time Warp, where you’ll jump between gameplay styles from across the series.

Cozy Grove Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial

Cozy Grove is being offered as the next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial in North America, it’s been announced.

The game can be played for free between December 11 and December 17 with an active membership. Once it’s over, save data can be used in the full version. Those who give it a shot will earn 100 Platinum Points on My Nintendo.

Donkey Kong Land 3 Nintendo Switch Online

Yet another Donkey Kong game has been added to Nintendo Switch Online, and this time it’s Donkey Kong Land 3.

Donkey Kong Land 3 first released in 1997 on the Game Boy in North America and Europe. It later debuted on the Game Boy Color in 2000, but only in Japan. The version on Nintendo Switch Online depends on which app you use – Japan has the Game Boy Color version while the west has the Game Boy original.

Nintendo Switch Online Wargroove 2 Game Trial

Wargroove 2 is the latest game getting the Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial treatment – at least in Europe.

If you have access to the service, you’ll be able to play the entire game for free. The offer will be available for a week – between December 5 and December 12. After that, those looking to buy the game will be able to use their save data in the full version.

Super Mario Land 2 icons Nintendo Switch Online

For a limited time, Nintendo Switch Online members can claim new icons based on Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.

This is the classic game of the month for December. Subscribers can redeem icons featuring characters from the game. Only five are up for grabs, and each one costs 10 Platinum Points each on My Nintendo.

Just in time for the holidays, a special wave of user icons are now available on Nintendo Switch Online. They can be claimed until December 25.

Members can obtain designs for different characters, backgrounds, and frames. Contrary to what we typically see, a number of different series are featured. Franchises like Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda are represented here.

November 6: Nintendo has made it a point to celebrate game releases with new icons on Switch Online, and now members can obtain new ones based on Mario & Luigi: Brothership.

Different icons will rotate out over the next few weeks. Icons can be claimed featuring characters, backgrounds, and frames. The characters cost 10 Platinum Points each. For backgrounds and frames, each one is 5 Platinum Points.

Nintendo Switch Online Mercs, ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron, Vectorman

Another wave of classic games just dropped on Nintendo Switch Online, with Wolf of the Battlefield: Mercs, ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron, and Vectorman having just been released. These titles previously appeared on the SEGA Genesis.

This is actually the first time in 2024 that new SEGA Genesis games have joined Nintendo Switch Online. Today’s update also follows Donkey Kong Land 1 and 2 that popped up within the past week.

Donkey Kong Land 2 Nintendo Switch Online

In a bit of an unexpected move, Donkey Kong Land 2 has just landed on Nintendo Switch Online. It can be accessed as part of the Game Boy app, which can be accessed if you’re a member of the service.

Donkey Kong Land 2, another platformer from Rare, first released in 1996. This time around, Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong are looking to save Donkey Kong from Kaptain K. Rool and the Kremling Krew.

Starting today, Nintendo Switch Online members can get their hands on the classic game Donkey Kong Land.

Rare originally made Donkey Kong Land in 1995. The game retains the side-scrolling platforming gameplay of the Donkey Kong Country series, but was adjusted for the handheld.
