3D Streets of Rage II has plenty of new additions. For instance, developer M2 packed in a “Quartet Mode” and local multiplayer.

Another addition in 3D Streets of Rage II is a special credits sequence, which can be viewed at any time from the main menu. Take a look at it below.

SEGA is working on a demo for Hatsume Miku: Project Mirai DX, which is due out in Japan on May 13.

The demo features touch and button modes. “LOL -lots of laugh-” (Music by KeN, Lyrics by Endcape) and “Senbonzakura” (Music and Lyrics by Kuruusa P (White Flame)) will be included as two select songs. Those who have save data from Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 can import their username and “My Phrase”, level of friendship between characters, and more into the demo.

There’s no word yet on whether the Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX demo will be distributed in the west. We’re certainly hoping that it will be!

SEGA’s classic Streets of Rage 2 is heading to Japan soon as part of its 3D series, and earlier we got to take a gander at what the game would look like in stereoscopic 3D when viewing the video they uploaded on your Nintendo 3DS. Now we can see the first bit of the game in the video below!

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric character animation Tuan Nguyen recently uploaded a demo reel, which features beta hub/animations footage from the game. You can check it out below.

We should be getting a pretty good look at Stella Glow on Monday. SEGA will be showing off its upcoming slate of titles during a live stream on NicoNico, and Stella Glow will be among the lineup of featured games. Producer Hideyuki Mizutani will be on hand for the event.

SEGA’s live stream will be hosted on NicoNico at this link. You can tune in at 8 AM ET / 5 AM PT / 1 PM in the UK / 2 PM in Europe to watch it live.

The website for Edward Moore, a UX/UI design consultant on Sonic Boom, reveals that the Wii U and 3DS games were known as “Sonic Synergy” at one point.

Moore’s site also houses images of UI diagrams and early concept artwork. Another image – shown below – also seems to depict a slightly different-looking Sonic.

As The Sonic Stadium points out, “Sonic’s arms are back to being tan in colour, spikes are also different, much more like the Sega Sonic version. Amy also has some differences too.”

SEGA has a whole bunch of first-print bonuses lineup for Stella Glow. One of these is a new 3DS theme, which you can get a look at above.

SEGA announced a few new 3D Classics earlier this week. 3D Streets of Rage 2 is the first out of the bunch and is coming in July. 3D Gunstar Heroes and 3D Sonic The Hedgehog 2 are launching in August and September respectively.

SEGA hasn’t provided much information about 3D Gunstar Heroes and 3D Sonic The Hedgehog 2, but we do have a couple of details about 3D Streets of Rage 2. Famitsu reports that the game will support simultaneous two-player multiplayer via local play, though both users will need a copy. Also included are new systems like a mode called “Quartet” which allows you to use all four characters in sequence when playing alone.

Japan is getting 3D Streets of Rage 2 very soon. It’s slated for April 28, and will carry an 800 yen price point.
