Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Edition is coming to Europe on April 27, PQube and WayForward announced today. All pre-order and launch copies will be the Day One Edition, which contains the 30-song Risky Beats soundtrack CD plus a 100-page artbook filled with unseen sketches of Shantae and the gang. The game on a cartridge and DLC are included as well.

North American publisher XSEED hasn’t set a final date for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Edition as of now. We should be receiving news very soon, however.

Shantae Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition will soon be releasing physically on Switch. By buying the game around launch, you’ll receive the “Day One Limited Edition”. Amazon provides us a look at the full contents as shown in the image above.

A couple of extra goodies will be provided in the package. Along with the game, customers will receive an exclusive artbook and music soundtrack.

WayForward sent out an announcement about Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Edition today. It recaps what we knew for the most part, but reveals one exclusive item in the package. Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Edition features an exclusive extra Beach Mode costume, Shantae’s signature Blue Bathing Suit.

In addition to the bevy of vivid, detailed high-definition graphics that made this newest entry in the Shantae series a fan-favorite, the Ultimate Edition includes even more modes, monsters, and platforming action! ‘Pirate Queen’s Quest’ allows players to take on the role of Shantae’s arch-nemesis, Risky Boots, in a whole new storyline! ‘Friends to the End’ features ethereal new levels and a special boss encounter as Shantae’s pals Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops enter her nightmare to try to save her from certain doom, while ‘Costume Pack’ provides three new arcade-style adventures – harness the power of the Ninja, Beach, and Officer costumes in these brand new side-stories!

You can pick up the new Friends to the End expansion for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. Well, if you’re playing on Switch that is. The Wii U version seems to be experiencing a small delay.

WayForward says that Friends to the End for Wii U is now arriving on December 21 in North America. We’re unsure about Europe, but it’s possible that the DLC will still be launching today.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Day One Edition will be available for Switch sometime in Spring 2018. Over on Amazon UK, pre-orders have now started. The package can be reserved here.

The Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Day One Edition features the game and three pieces of DLC – Pirate Queen’s Quest, Friends to the End, and Costume Mode. And as extra day one bonuses, an art book and soundtrack CD are included.

XSEED Games has provided new details about the physical version of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero for Switch. A limited “Ultimate Day One Edition” will be offered in Spring 2018. It’s planned for both North America and Europe at a $39.99 price point.

This edition includes a copy of the game, the 30-song ‘Risky Beats’ soundtrack on CD, and a new art book. The Pirate Queen’s Quest, new Costume Mode, and Friends Mode DLC will be included as well.

The new Friends to the End expansion for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero will launch on December 12, WayForward has announced. This applies to the Switch version and North American Wii U release. In Europe, the DLC is slated for the following week in Europe.

Friends to the End is the final final piece of the Shantae: Half-Genie Hero storyline. Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops are featured as new playable characters.
