Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Earlier today, Nintendo confirmed that a new character would be revealed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate during The Game Awards 2020. The company was true to its word, announcing that Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII is joining the game.

Nintendo will be revealing a new fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at The Game Awards 2020 later today, the company has announced.

No further information has been shared. Nintendo simply says that fans should tune in once the main show starts at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET / 12 AM in the UK / 1 PM in Europe.

Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has announced its latest event, which is focused on mushroom items. Super Mushroom, Poison Mushroom, and Ramblin’ Evil Mushroom will be present here. These items make you bigger or smaller, or can reverse your opponent’s controls.

The new Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament goes live on December 11. It will last for a total of three days.

A new Japanese commercial has gone live for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which has a big focus on Steve – the game’s most recent DLC character. Check out the advert below.

There’s been a lot of discussion surrounding The Big House and its Super Smash Bros. tournament after it was announced that the upcoming event scheduled for December has been canceled. The event was previously moved to a digital setting, and organizers were looking to use Slippi, an unapproved rollback netcode.

The Big House has made a name for itself as one of the biggest competitive events for Super Smash Bros. Unfortunately, this year’s tournament won’t be happening as originally planned.

The Big House was already forced to go online-only in wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Although the revised digital event was planned for early December, it has now been cancelled entirely. The news comes following a cease-and-desist demand from Nintendo of America.

Spirit Board event

Nintendo has announced the next Spirit Board event for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Later this week, characters wearing sleeveless clothes will be featured. You can defeat them to earn more gold than usual.

Look for the new event to go live on November 20. It will last for a total of three days.
