Mario vs Donkey Kong Switch

After a number of years off, the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series is making a comeback with the just-announced Switch game. It will launch on February 16, 2024.

Nintendo made a number of entries in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series going back to the debut in 2004 on the Game Boy Advance. However, this is actually the first one on Switch. Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge, which came out in 2016 for Wii U and 3DS, was the most recent entry (until now).

An update was shared today on the next Splatoon 3 DLC, with Nintendo offering up a release date for Side Order. Wave 2 of the Expansion Pass, which will have players strengthening their character’s abilities as they ascend the Spire’s floors again and again, arrives in Spring 2024.

Side Order is the bigger portion of the Expansion Pass as it includes a brand new single-player campaign. Players can see what’s become of Inkopolis Square, the central area featured in Splatoon 2.

Gunvolt Records Cychronicle

Inti Creates just unveiled Gunvolt Records Cychronicle, a new rhythm game for Switch in the Azure Striker Gunvolt series. It already has a confirmed release date of February 15, 2024. Those attending the 2023 Tokyo Game Show can give it a spin.

Gunvolt Records Cychronicle “will feature three of the series’ popular singers with controls that will make players feel like

The Jackbox Party Pack 10

Original (2/8): Jackbox Games has announced The Jackbox Party Pack 10, the latest entry in the series that has been ongoing since 2014. It’s due out on fall and expected on Switch like all of the other titles.

Details are light on the moment as this is only the initial announcement, but fans will be able to play all of the party games in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. More details and behind the scenes looks at the five games the team is building will be shared in the months ahead.

It was all the way back at PAX Prime 2013 that Crypt of the Necrodancer – a very successful dungeon crawler rougelite with rhythm-based combat – first started getting widespread love. Upon its full release, the game became so highly acclaimed that the team behind it was eventually able to work with Nintendo on a Legend of Zelda-themed spinoff called Cadence of Hyrule. Back for another victory lap, developer Brace Yourself Games attended PAX West 2023 to show off their latest project, Rift of the Necrodancer. While it’s a much more traditional rhythm game than the developer’s previous experiments, my demo with Rift highlighted some interesting twists on the genre that I think will surprise even seasoned fans of the genre.
