TT Games head of design Arthur Parsons randomly told one fan on his Twitter page yesterday that LEGO Worlds is planned for Switch. That’s despite the fact that Warner Bros. hadn’t actually made an announcement.

Due to a lack of confirmation, some fans were concerned that Parsons may have simply been mistaken. But fear not: LEGO Worlds is indeed set for Switch. A release date hasn’t been determined, but publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment says it’s happening.

Warner Bros. already announced that LEGO City Undercover is heading to Switch. On top of that, it looks like we can expect LEGO Worlds on the platform as well.

TT Games head of design Arthur Parsons confirmed on Twitter:

Warner Bros. describes LEGO Worlds as “an open environment of procedurally-generated worlds made entirely of LEGO bricks which you can freely manipulate and dynamically populate with LEGO models.” The game lets users make anything and everything one brick at a time or by taking advantage of large-scale landscaping tools. Characters and creatures interact with you as well as each other in various ways.

When LEGO City Undercover originally came out on Wii U, it featured some secret Nintendo cameos. Even though the game is now going multiplatform, those cameos are being retained on Switch, according to Nintendo’s website.

In other news, we now have LEGO City Undercover’s Switch boxart. That’s posted below.

At least so far, LEGO City Undercover on Switch seems to be identical to its Wii U counterpart from a pure content perspective. However, Amazon has revealed a new feature for the upcoming version of the game. Two player co-op is supported so that “friends can explore the sprawling open-world metropolis that is LEGO City”, according to the listing.

You can see the Amazon listing for yourself here. Pre-orders will likely open sometime tomorrow.

Warner Bros. today released the first trailer for the new version of LEGO City Undercover, coming to Switch and other platforms. View it below.

LEGO City Undercover will be out on Switch this spring.

Warner Bros. and TT Games have updated the Fantastic Beasts expansion in LEGO Dimensions to include the film’s proper ending.

Previously, the game left out a key scene from the movie’s final few minutes. A Warner Bros. spokesperson told Eurogamer that this was done as to not spoil the film. “Soon after the film was released, the cut scene was switched in the game,” the rep confirmed.

You can see the updated ending below. The first video is the original, and the second is the new version.
