Hokko Life

Hokko Life was previously announced for PC, but publisher Team17 and developer Wonderscope Games today confirmed plans for a release on consoles, including Switch. Those on Nintendo’s system can pick it up starting September 27, 2022.

The sim game started out on early access and has received new content as well as additional gameplay mechanics via patches. These include the Farming Update, which added a new area to the game and gave players the opportunity to flex their green fingers, the Village Chic Update, which introduced over 250 new hats, masks, glasses, and other accessories, the Super Shopper Update, which allows players to visit a new city center location, the Narrative Update, which overhauled the introduction of the game, and introduced four new friendly villagers to Hokko Life, and the Mayor Merits Update, allowing players to complete activities in game in exchange for ‘mayor merits’ that unlock perks designed to make things a little easier.

Before We Leave

The city building game Before We Leave is landing on Switch next month, publisher Team17 and developer Balancing Monkey Games have confirmed. A release is planned for August 2, 2022.

Before We Leave initially launched in May 2021. Players are tasked with building settlements for the newly emerged Peeps and rediscovering civilization after they spent generations underground. Since their knowledge is limited, expect to grow, gather, and manage resources to help settlements thrive, and share goods between nearby hexagonal lands and planets. The game has a total of six unique biomes on islands of all shapes and sizes to explore.

Bravery & Greed

Team17 is teaming up with developer Rekka Games to publish Bravery & Greed on Switch, the company announced today. The title will be available later in 2022.

Bravery & Greed is a cooperative beat ’em up dungeon brawler with support for up to four players. It combines fantasy arcade gameplay with permadeath, roguelike elements, “and an insatiable objective of grabbing fistfuls of gold and treasure”.

Monster Sanctuary The Forgotten World Update trailer

Monster Sanctuary received its latest patch today known as The Forgotten World, and a new trailer has provided a closer look at the additions.

As a reminder, the update includes ten new monsters (five of which were designs from the community) for players to add to their team, two new outfits, 78 new skills, 13 new items, and three new game modes (Bravery Mode, Randomizer, and Permadeath) that can be combined freely, allowing players to customize their Monster Sanctuary experience for endless replayability. Earlier this month it was announced that Monster Sanctuary would be receiving a substantial free update titled The Forgotten World, which would bring with it a new area, new monsters, and three additional game modes, as well as other features. This update, which was expected to launch June 30, has gone live a week early, and is now immediately available to download. In a statement on Twitter, publisher Team 17 revealed that this was unintentional, but instead was done to avoid any complications with player saves.

The new Bouncy Castle Course Pack for Golf With Your Friends goes live on Switch today, and to celebrate, Team17 and Blacklight Interactive have prepared a new launch trailer.

As a reminder, the DLC includes contains a new course with 18 bouncy castle themed holes featuring inflatable obstacles, spinning platforms, and challenges plus a new floatie, trail, and stickers. Only the person hosting the lobby needs to own the Bouncy Castle Course Pack for all players in the lobby to be able to play the course.

Ship of Fools

The seafaring roguelite co-op game Ship of Fools will be released on Switch, publisher Team17 and developer Fika Productions confirmed today. It will be available later in 2021.

Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos update 4.0

Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos has been given a new update on Switch, with players now being able to access version 4.0. It address a number of bugs, and includes requested gameplay changes (such as the game no longer pausing for other players when another goes into the inventory).

Golf With Your Friends Bouncy Castle Update

More content is coming to Golf With Your Friends in the form of the “Bouncy Castle Course”. Switch players can access the paid DLC starting on June 21, 2022, publisher Team17 and developer Blacklight Interactive have announced.

Once the DLC (and latest update) are obtained, players will be able to access a new Bouncy Castle themed course. Two new cosmetic packs are also planned. Also, the update will come with a bunch of improvements.

Monster Sanctuary The Forgotten World update

Support continues for Monster Sanctuary, as it’s been announced that the game is getting its new “The Forgotten World Update”. Switch players can access it starting on June 30, 2022.

The upcoming update contains lots of new content – we’re talking a new area, new monsters, new modes, and more. That’s on top of other aspects like a level cap increase and quality of life improvements.
