August 25: Following its Japanese launch, XSEED Games today announced that it’s working on a western release of Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack on Nintendo Switch. It will be available later in 2025.

Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack features the entirety of the “Heavenly Host” narrative including the modernized version of the first adventure, Corpse Party (2021); the sequel, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows; and the western console debuts of Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash and Corpse Party: Blood Drive, the conclusion to the Heavenly Host saga.

Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted has leaked, and after some early hands-on time, fans have come across various issues.

The game won’t be out for a few more days, but the leak took place over on the EA app. One person has even been streaming the title. Unfortunately, the reception hasn’t been great so far.

After a previous debut in Japan, Guitar Life for Nintendo Switch is coming west on Nintendo Switch with full English support. It will be out stateside on December 15, 2025.

Guitar Life is all about teaching you how to play a guitar. There are specific lessons you can follow, but also a variety of other modes – including free play.

Ghost Vanguard, which has taken the crowdfunding route, has been secured for release on Nintendo Switch. The project should wrap up for a 2026 launch.

Ghost Vanguard, a dark fantasy beat ’em up game with roguelike elements, has players taking on sinister forces from the darkness as they look to reclaim a hero’s stolen soul. Fans have so far helped to raise around $20,000 on Kickstarter.

Here’s a bit of information about the game:

The Nintendo NES Zapper was almost called the light gun. That’s according to Bruce Lowry, former Nintendo of America vice president of sales.

Lowry reflected in a recent interview how “the arcades were getting a very bad reputation” back in the day following some incidents, including one in which a kid pointed an arcade gun at police who thought it was a real weapon. Nintendo was on the fence at the time, but what really pushed things in a different direction was a focus group in which a third of the women there were against having a gun in their house.

October 7: Today, Poncle shared first details about a new version 1.14 update for Vampire Survivors, which will add online cooperative play for up to four players. Other elements are planned as well, but further details will be rolled out over time.

Breaking news, everyone: Pikachu does in fact poop. This piece of information was big enough for Pikachu to trend in Japan.

That massive lore tidbit comes from the series’ latest game, Pokemon Legends: Z-A. A specific NPC has his own Pikachu who’s apparently dealing with some stomach woes. The trainer essentially says he’s worried since Pikachu is pooping more than usual. The English localization goes a bit softer – the direct quote in that version is “My Pikachu’s been having tummy troubles recently. I’m worried…”

Below is the NPC in question, as shared by teso_026:

Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted is out in a few days, but before that happens, fans can view a new launch trailer. The video highlights the HD visuals and signature defense gameplay that both fans and new players are sure to enjoy.

Pokemon Friends has received a good amount of criticism, which is largely due to its paid elements and overall generic aesthetic. Recently, Youtuber CandyEvie noticed some striking similarities between the core gameplay in Pokemon Friends and another mobile title ThinkThink. Both were developed by Wonderfly, with the latter releasing all the way back in 2016.

After reviewing footage of both games side to side, it is very likely one will assume that some asset flipping may have occurred. Most, if not all of the puzzles playable in Pokemon Friends are also in ThinkThink, with the obvious difference of presentation. It may be possible that The Pokemon Company had simply asked Wonderfy to create a Pokemon version of its already popular game, but this may not be the case as the game isn’t marketed as such at all. In fact ThinkThink is specifically aimed at a very young audience while Pokemon Friends’ marketing material suggests that it’s a game for all ages. While this theory answers why some feel that the game is too generic, it may also recontextualize how some may feel about the title’s pricing.
