Described as a “cyberpunk hyper ninja action adventure” publisher CFK and developer Asteroid-J will be bringing Ninja Issen to Switch. The game is due out in 2021. Take a look at the overview and trailer as rounded up by Gematsu after the break:

The Los Angeles Tour has arrived for players of Mario Kart Tour. Players can race along the palm-tree lined beaches and sprawling deserts in this coastal-themed Tour. Check out the trailer below to see Dixie and Funky Kong go head-to-head with a beach faring Mario:

 

The second special artwork has been released by the Dragalia Lost team. The countdown to the 2nd Anniversary Event is in full swing, with only four days left until the true celebration. Notably, The Summon Showcase: Dragon Special is still live, so players can still take advantage of boosted appearance rates for 5★ dragons such as Chthonius, AC-011 Garland, and Styx. Make sure to log in every day during the countdown for special log in bonuses.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers

Weekly Famitsu has revealed that Earth Defense Force: World Brothers launches for Switch and PS4 on December 24 in Japan for 7,480 yen. The magazine also states that the Fencer class from Earth Defense Force 4, Air Raider from Earth Defense Force 5, and Prowl Rider and Heavy Striker from Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain will be playable.

A digital-only western release of the title is planned for early 2021, though a concrete launch day is not yet announced.

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia

December 10 sees the release of Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia on PS4, and alongside that a free update will be released for the Nintendo Switch version, Weekly Famitsu reveals. While we don’t know the content of the update just yet, a letter from the producers via Brigandine’s website suggests the following are being considered:

Successfully crowdfunded, Weekly Famitsu has reveled that R-Type Final 2 will arrive on consoles in spring 2021. You can take a look at the overview for this side-scrolling shooter as found by Gematsu, along with the trailer from June 2020 below:

Cotton Reboot!

Weekly Famitsu has revealed that Cotton Reboot! will be arriving on Switch in late February in Japan. Originally slated for a 2020 release, this game is brushed up from the original arcade release and includes the original title and a new “Arrange Mode.” This new mode will allow players to use the new enemy-sweeping “Split Shot” and score-boosting “Jewel Fever.” The game also includes an Easy Mode for new players, and a Veteran Mode for those already familiar with the game’s mechanics. New visual scenes are also included by artist Hideki Tamura. As a refresher, you can take a look at last year’s trailer to get a better idea of how the game plays:

Metallic Child is coming to Switch and other platforms in spring 2021. The roguelike action game puts you in control of an android named Rona, allowing you to take on ten types of bosses and discover the mysteries surrounding the Life Stream. Check out the overview via Gematsu, as well as the trailer below:

The Mega Buddy Challenge event is available from now until September 28th. Various Timed Research will need to be fulfilled by players and their friends. If players complete the Timed Research, they will gain access to the Timed Research during Halloween to get Mega Gengar. Notably, Shiny Doduo and Dodrio will now be available in game as well.
