As previously announced, Square Enix held a livestream today featuring the upcoming remaster of Romancing SaGa 3. After suffering some delays, a release date for the game is now finally set in stone: it’ll be available on Nintendo Switch in Japan on November 11 for 3,500 Yen. The game was previously confirmed for a Western release, though we don’t have a concrete release date for those regions yet. We will keep you updated.

The game based on the popular anime series will be released on November 28 in Japan. The Southeast Asian version of the game, which launches on the same day, will include English text support.

SEGA has released a new (Japanese) trailer for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD today. Give it a watch:

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD will be released on October 29 in the West and on October 31 in Japan.

In addition to the systems trailer posted earlier today, Koei Tecmo also released a story trailer in English for Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout:

The game will be released on September 26 in Japan, October 29 in North America and November 1 in Europe.

Pokemon Masters is now available on smart devices. A launch celebration event has begun to commemorate the occasion. First up, there’s a one-time log-in bonus of 1000 Gems; an additional 200 Gems can be earned once per day for ten days by logging in. Finally, a set of launch celebration missions are available that give you a variety of items as rewards. All of these will be available until October 17.

Additionally, a special sync pair scout is now available to celebrate the launch of the game. This is 10x sync pair scout that guarantees you a 5-star sync pair. However, you can only use paid Gems for this scout. The scout will be available until November 28.

If you want to purchase paid Gems, special Gem sets are now available at a discounted price; each of them can only be purchased once per player. You can buy 1600, 3200 and 5200 Gems. The price may vary depending on your country and your operating system.

The latest Voting Gauntlet has now started in Fire Emblem Heroes. Brave Rivalries puts the winners of the Choose Your Legends 3 poll against their rivals from their respective games. The first-round matchups are as follows:

  • Micaiah vs Ike
  • Alm vs Berkut
  • Eliwood vs Hector
  • Camilla vs Hinoka

As always, the event will last for a total of six days.

Also, since it’s Thursday, a new map has been added to Tactics Drills.”Winds, Howl!” can be found in the Grandmaster section; clearing it gets you 300 feathers.

Fortnite has been updated to version 10.20 today. This also marks the start of the Fortnite X Mayhem event, a crossover event with the Borderlands franchise. Here’s a trailer for the event, and the full patch notes below:

Weapons + Items

  • Shield Bubble
    • Rare item.
    • Found from Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops, and Vending Machines.
    • Lasts for 30 seconds.
    • Creates a large bubble that blocks projectiles and explosives. However, players can still run through it.
      • Projectiles and explosives can be fired from inside the bubble but cannot go outside of it. 
      • The bubble’s emitter has 400 HP. Destroying it deactivates the bubble.

Back in May, Square Enix announced Star Ocean: First Departure R, an HD remaster of Star Ocean: First Departure, which itself was a remake of the very first Star Ocean game. Ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2019, where the game will be featured, Square Enix published the first four screenshots of the game, as well as a little description on their TGS site (credit goes to Gematsu for the translation):

The 2007-released remake of Star OceanStar Ocean: First Departure—appears as a high-definition port with new features! In addition to the high-definition upgrade, the game is fully voiced through new recordings by the original Star Ocean cast. The character illustrations have also been redrawn based on the original designs, which you can switch between with the original remake illustrations.

Fire Emblem Heroes’ next update is on its way – it’ll be available in early September. Today, Intelligent Systems outlined the major changes coming with this update:

  • New feature: Heroes’s Path. A series of tutorial quests intended to teach new players the in-depth mechanics of Fire Emblem Heroes. Completing these quests is well worth it for experienced players too though, as you can earn 5-star versions of popular characters: complete Rank 1 quests to get Reinhard: Thunder’s Fist, complete Rank 5 quests to get Ninian: Oracle of Destiny, complete Rank 10 quests to get Eirika: Anamnesis Lady and complete Rank 15 quests to get Ike: Brave Mercenary.
  •  Possible to spend twice the Aether to earn twice the Lift when attacking.
    ○ Increased level caps:
    ・ Healing Tower (O/D): level 5
    ・ Escape Ladder (O): level 4
    ○ Aether Resort updates
    ・ Up to 11 Heroes may be invited
    ・ 3 additional Concert Hall songs: Far from Arcadia (Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade), Sweet Victory (Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon), As Swift as Wind (Fire Emblem: Three Houses)
  • Weapon Refinery update – the following weapons can be refined and gain further effects:
  • Blazing Durandal (Roy: Brave Lion and Eliwood: Knight of Lycia)
  • Geirskögul (Lucina: Brave Princess)
  • Urvan (Ike: Brave Mercenary)
  • Mulagir (Lyn: Brave Lady)

 

  • Two additional Heroes will be available via Heroic Grails – Flora: Defrosted Illian and Kronya: Gleaming Blade

A very quick Fire Emblem Heroes news update today: a new set of Allegiance Battle quests is now available, giving players a chance to earn extra orbs. They require you to win several Allegiance Battles at various difficulties. The quests will be available until September 7th.
