Mary Skelter Finale dated for North America and Europe

When Mary Skelter Finale was announced for Switch in the west earlier this year, we only had a fall release window. Idea Factory has now shared a final date.
In North America, Mary Skelter Finale launches for Switch on September 30. The European release is confirmed for October 1.

Death end re;Quest 2 coming west on Switch in 2022

Death end re;Quest 2 is coming to Switch in North America and Europe in 2022, Idea Factory and Compile Heart confirmed today. All DLC from the PlayStation 4 version will be included for free.
The new release on Nintendo’s console was first announced last month. As previously mentioned, Death end re;Quest 2 will first debut on Switch in Japan later in 2021.

Last August, Idea Factory released the otome visual novel Cupid Parasite on Switch in Japan. It’s now getting a worldwide release in English, the company announced today.

Eastward due out on Switch later in 2021, new gameplay video

It’s been quite some time since we last heard about Eastward. Chucklefish and Pixpil announced the project for Switch a couple of years ago, but news since then has been mostly nonexistent.
Eastward was last planned for 2020 on Switch, but we now have a release window of 2021 – so hopefully we’ll be seeing it before the end of the year. We also have a new gameplay video shared by IGN below.

If you watched the opening ceremony for the Tokyo Olympics a few days ago, you may have recognized some familiar tunes. The event featured music from a bunch of different gaming franchises ranging from Final Fantasy to Sonic. Nintendo, however, wasn’t involved at all.
For some, this may have come as a surprise. Nintendo is a top icon when it comes to gaming in Japan, and Mario had a notable presence for the Rio Olympics in 2016. Not only did the character appear in a video, but Shinzo Abe – who was the Prime Minister of Japan at the time – came out of a Warp Pipe wearing the plumber’s hat.
