Summer Game Fest

Summer Game Fest today announced the addition of two Developer Showcase events. The digital presentations, which have been curated by the Day of the Devs team and Geoff Keighley (The Game Awards), will be held on June 22 and July 20. Both live streams will offer gameplay, news, and musical performances.

The Outer Worlds

Private Division and Obsidian have passed along a few new screenshots for The Outer Worlds on Switch. The full set of images can be found in the gallery below.

Street Power Soccer

SFL Interactive and Maximum Games have announced Street Power Soccer, an upcoming action arcade sports game. A release is planned for this summer on Switch and other platforms.

Nintendo Switch

This month’s NPD report brings along a rather impressive stat for Switch. Year-to-date dollar sales of the system are the highest of any hardware platform in United States history. Previously, Wii held the record for the year-to-date period ending April 2009.

Switch was again the best-selling hardware platform of April in the U.S. That goes for both unit sales and dollar sales.

Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y - Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu

Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu won’t initially be distributed at retail. Instead, Level-5 has said that it will release the game as a regularly updated, large-scale digital title.

Players can look forward to one free update per month. One major feature Level-5 is working on is a multiplayer mode, though specifics have yet to be shared.

Ministry of Broadcast has been updated on Switch, bringing along new features and improvements. An easy mode and improved checkpoints are a couple of the highlights.

Perfect Dark, Rare’s classic N64 shooter, is officially 20 years old today. To celebrate the milestone, Eurogamer caught up with several of its key developers as well as then Nintendo of America producer Ken Lobb to learn more about the creation of the project.
