Europe’s top 15 downloads on the Switch eShop for February 2020

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for February 2020.
This month, it’s an older game that tops the chart – specifically Unravel Two. Animal Crossing: New Horizons also found itself in the top ten thanks to eShop pre-orders.

Mekorama launches on Switch this month

The puzzle game Mekorama was announced for Switch and 3DS way back in 2017. While the 3DS version no longer appears to be happening, it’s finally arriving on Nintendo’s current console this month.

Samurai Jack creator says Battle Through Time was the game he always wanted to make, not a cash grab

It took awhile, but a new Samurai Jack game is finally on the way. There was a somewhat forgettable GBA title based on the TV series back in 2003, followed by a poorly-received GameCube title in 2004. Now that Samurai Jack is back in video game form, series creator Genndy Tartakovsky wants to do things right.
Tartakovsky referred to that GameCube release – titled Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku – during at panel at PAX East 2020. He said it “was done very economically” and “very quickly” before noting that “it wasn’t the love you always want for one of your babies.”
As for Battle Through Time, Tartakovsky sounds much more encouraged. He shared the following about taking another shot at a Samurai Jack-based game:

SEGA to share content from cancelled Sonic SXSW 2020 panel “in a new format this April”

Since SXSW 2020 has been cancelled, that has affected SEGA’s plans for the show. The company was originally planning on hosting a panel, which was teased to have some announcements.
Although that panel will no longer be happening, SEGA is changing up how it’ll be doing things. Content from that event will now be presented “in a new format”. We don’t have the specifics yet, but this is on track for April.
