One of the more surprising Switch announcements this year was Ark: Survival Evolved. There weren’t too many who expected the game to come to Nintendo’s console, especially with solid performance. But thanks to the porting work from Abstraction Games, Ark: Survival Evolved is indeed happening, and based on the little footage we’ve seen, it looks pretty good.

Abstraction Games head of production John Day was asked how Ark: Survival Evolved is possible on Switch during a recent episode of Fragments of Silicon. Day started out by explaining:

Splatoon 2

OatmealDome, who has a solid understand of behind-the-scenes activity in Splatoon 2 including unreleased modes and content, has revealed that an anti-cheat system is now in place. Actually, it’s been active since version 3.1.0.

Nintendo has the ability to flag players regardless if mods are used online. Even by starting up the game with edits, they’ll be flagged. Nintendo seems to put in bans one day after a player has been flagged.

OutmealDome as well as Khangaroo from Splatoon Modding Hub were the first to make note of Nintendo’s anti-cheat system.

Thanks to Alice N for the tip.

Blizzard finally put rumors of Diablo III on Switch to bed this week with an official announcement. Eternal Collection will launch on the system this year, featuring content from Zelda and more.

Though Diablo III has been around for awhile and on different platforms, this marks the first time that it’ll be on a Nintendo console. In fact, there hasn’t been a Blizzard title on a Nintendo system in quite some time. Diablo III on Switch is noteworthy though due to its portability, and Blizzard is looking to sweeten the deal with some Zelda content.

How are you feeling about Diablo III on Switch? Do you plan on purchasing it later this year? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.

Graveyard Keeper may have a chance of coming to Switch. It was rated by PEGI earlier this week, meaning the possibility does exist. However, the rating shouldn’t be taken as absolute confirmation.

For what it’s worth, we do know that tinyBuild has been supporting Switch quite a bit. The company has published several games on the eShop over the past few weeks and months, so Graveyard Keeper may not be out of the question.
